Mitch's POV

For a while I laid there, I could see nothing but darkness. Sometimes I could make out faint shadows walked around but that was about it.

I stayed in the darkness for what felt like an eternity, and I must say it wasn't fun.

And I could only hear the agonizing screams and cries for help but I had no idea where they were coming from.

What kind of torture is this..? Is it even a form or torture, or is it a punishment?

These kind of questions clouded my mind, none of them were answered though.

So I laid there, in the darkness with the shadows screaming around me; begging for help.

The sounds made me feel like I was about to go crazy, if I hadn't already that is.

My eyes opened slowly, adjusting to the new brightness.

I wasn't in the dark anymore.

I sighed in relief, the darkness was starting to freak me out a lot.

I noticed I was now wearing actual clothes, I was wearing a white t-shirt and grey sweatpants; my feet were wrapped in clean, white bandages as well.

"Mitch." I heard H.B. say from in front of me.

"What do you want now?" I mumble, my voice sounding raspy from lack of use.

"We're going for a walk!" He cheers, gripping onto my upper arm and hoisting me up.

"Where?" I ask, stumbling over my feet; it's been forever since I've used them.

"It's a surprise, silly!" He laughs, not amusingly, but darkly. I decided not to question him anymore. But before we go, he jerks me towards the counter top, taking a syringe in his hand and putting it up to my neck.

"Why my neck?" I ask concerned because they usually go in my shoulder.

"Because the effect will last longer." He explains before injecting it into my neck. I flinched a little from the slight sting and the feeling of it running through my veins.

"Alright, time to go!" H.B. yells excitedly, then he just starts to drag me around the base until we came across the front door.

"Try anything, and you're dead." He warns, letting go of my arm and unlocking the door.

I slouch up against the wall, too weak to move much. He unlocks the last clasp, swinging the door open.

I have to shield my eyes to the new exposed light, my eyes burning from the bright sun.

Once the door was opened completely, I was greeted by a cold breeze.

I forgot it was still cold out.

Eventually my eyes adjusted and I noticed how close we were to the trees.

"Long time no see, Mitchell."

I flinched at the voice, not knowing anyone else was with us.
