Chapter 17: The Jack-ass Nathan

Fury called us to the meeting to introduce new guy.

"If you haven't already met him this is Nathan. Of course he has his own opinions and is entitled to them" Fury said glaring at me.

"Did you snitch on me?" I smirked eating the other half of my sandwich.

He glanced away and went onto tall about his abilities. "Everything Speedy Gonzales can't do"

"Oh?" I smiled. "Can you teleport? Shape shift? Or how about be a telepath?"

Nathan blushed angrily. "No. But I can Fly, heal, have super strength, and energy waves come out of my hands when I clap."

"Any clap?" Peter asked.

"Any clap" Nathan confirmed. I rolled my eyes. Think he's so special.... with his white hair and blue eyes. He isn't cool. He just looks stupid.

I didn't realize I was sucking my teeth and grunting while I was thinking to myself. Sam covered my mouth and pulled me towards him.

"That's very rude Riley." He whispered.

"He's ruder"

"So you'll be childish and copy him?"

I frowned and glared at him. "Ok ok. Im sorry."

He smiled and let go of me.

"Yes Riley be mature this time please. We had to go through extra precaution to make sure he didn't turn out like the twins." Fury said. "If you'd excuse me...."

"I'm going to get something to eat" Ava said watching Fury leave.

"Going back to the kitchen?"

I clentched my fist and looked at Nova. "You can do this ok?"

"Yes ok ok."

"What is wrong with you?" Danny finally snapped.

"This is supposed to be a team. You feel the need to criticize our members then you don't belong here. I refuse to allow you to disrespect them." He kept yelling. "There is no reason to be sexist and complain" He yelled. No one ever seen Daniel scream before, it's rare, he's always so calm.

Nathan was fed up as well "Not only the girl heroes are weak, these people are weak as well, I can't be on a team with them" He screamed.

"Fine. Then leave." Danny clentched his fist.

"Yo. Your hand." Luke peeked at Danny's hand. Danny sat back and folded his arms. He was definitely done talking to this kid.

"If he drops his attidude...." Ava said. "I'm sure we could like him."

"Well you're a girl" Nathan winked. "You're supposed to find all men attractive."

"I meant in a different way, and now you ruined it" Ava said

"Well remember when I joined the team" Peter yelled. "Sam and I fought everyday."

"They still fight, but they aren't sexist" I defended.

"What about you? You didn't like anyone here at first" He said.

"Your point?" I snapped.

"What did you think about us before? " Daniel asked a bit calmer.
