Seventeen

Finally things were looking up for the group, the boys had cleared the inside out, but found prisoners. Harley hated that Hershel lost his leg, but he was better. Putting her hand on her bump, Harley smiled as she walked around.

Daryl looked at her. He smiled as he couldn't wait to meet his baby soon. Damian walked over as Harley was seen talking to Maggie and Beth. "We finally have a safe place for the baby to be born."

"Yep."

Harley smiled as she talked to Maggie when they heard Carl. "Walkers!"

"Come on."

"Harley!" Daryl called out as did Damien.

Inside, Harley ran with Maggie, Lori and Carl. She heard the walkers behind them. Finding a place to hide, they ran in as Harley leaned against the door. She put her hand on her bump and smiled. "Harley, Lori is in labor."

"What?" She replies as she went to them. "Oh, Lori."

"Harley, I need your help." Maggie tells her.

Carl stood beside his mom as Harley was helping, but saw a c-section scar. Grabbing a knife without thinking and started cutting. "I'm sorry!" She cried as Lori cried out in pain. "Maggie, the baby has to come out one way or another. I saw the scar."

"Keep doing it. We have to save them."

"Watch Carl and my baby, Harley."  Lori tells her.

"Lori, you will be okay and you will be with your children." Harley stated as she knew that Lori was fading.

Carl watched as Harley moved away in tears as Maggie got the baby out. Looking at Lori, they knew. She was gone. Harley took the baby girl in her arms as Maggie and her walked away, but Carl. "Carl?"

"I need to do something."

Handing the baby over, Harley walked down to him and watched him shoot his mother's head so she won't come back as a walker. "Harley?" He looked at her and ran to her and cried in her arms.

"It's okay." She tells him. "You did something you and Rick never wanted to see happen to her. You saved her from turning and that is a good thing." She looked at Lori. "Come on, we need to break the news."

Nodding, Carl walked with Harley as Maggie tried to keep it together. Walking up the steps, they didn't hear anything and knew, they were safe and it was clear. Walking out, they went to the door that leads them back out.

Damien and Daryl saw Harley and ran to her. She smiled as Daryl kissed her as Damien hugged her. Daryl leaned down and kissed her bump to feel the baby kick. "Where's Lori?" They heard causing Harley to cry.

Rick looked at the pregnant girl then to Maggie who held the baby and saw Carl crying. He knew. Lori Grimes has died.
