The little girl Sasha hesitantly let out her hand for Beast Atsushi, Beast Akutagawa and Oda. They all grasped her hand for five seconds before Sasha let go of their hands. The screen in front of them lit up almost immediately.

A young boy raced through the night. He felt as if he would cough up hislungs any minute as the sweat dripped down his cheeks. Hunger andexhaustion blurred his vision.

'Are they really starting from here' Beast Akutagawa thought nervously. It was one of his worst moments of his life. Sensing his discomfort, Beast Atsushi gave him a little squeeze of his shoulders with a small smile on his face. This little interaction was missed by everyone except Dazai who felt a little sadness. Some part of him regretted leaving the port mafia a bit because that would mean that he could never confess to a certain ginger head.

"Is that you Akutagawa?" Chuuya asked while both beast and bsd Akutagawa nodded their heads.

Most would have passed out by now but notthis young boy. He kept moving, forcing each foot forward as quickly as hecould even if it cost him a limb, for this boy known as RyuunosukeAkutagawa was out of time. He figured that he would be dead once hefinished running down this path.

"Wait, what was happening?" Atsushi asked for the first time feeling a bit of sympathy for Akutagawa.

"If you shut up and watch, you'll get to know." was his reply. Well so much for the newfound sympathy.

Akutagawa was a child of the slums, and one of the many who neverknew his parents. He lived on the streets with eight other kids who sharedhis fate. Each one of his peers said the same thing about him: The boylacked emotions. Even when Akutagawa awoke on the cold pavement everymorning, even on the rare occasion he got treated to a meal, even when anadult beat him senseless—he showed little emotion. He would simply stareoff into space with his dark, empty eyes. Most adults wrote him off as aheartless brat.

Akutagawa was from the slums? Everyone except Akutagawa, Beast Akutagawa, Beast Atsushi, Gin, Dazai and Mori, thought to themselves but they did not dare show their pity to him as they knew the person in question would not like it.

But this unfeeling boy possessed mysterious powers. He was able to manipulate his clothing. Once, he used it like a rope;another time, like a blade. Before long, he could make it take any shape hedesired.

"I know about that one very well." Atsushi grumbled being in the receiving end far too many times.

Akutagawa smirked feeling very proud.

The ability to manipulate the clothing he wore—that was Akutagawa'sgift. Nevertheless, this was Yokohama, the city of demons. Buying illegalfirearms and grenades was like buying an apple at the store. It was easy.Turning his sleeves into blades and flinging them around was no moreshocking than a magic trick. At least, that was what the adults who knew ofAkutagawa's ability told him as they mocked him.

"Well they are in for a shock. Mocking Rashōmon ." Tachihara shuddered while everyone secretly agreed.

Akutagawa's peers were different, though. The eight boys and girls wholived on the streets with him knew how dangerous he was. This filthy, frailboy dressed in rags could approach someone, his eyes void of any emotion, and slit their throat without warning.

"I don't see much difference between both of our worlds. Akutagwa here is the same." Atsushi said voicing everyone's doubts.

"What Atsushi-kun said is true. Perhaps you were mistaken about the girl's ability Fyodor." Kunikida said.

"I'm confident this would work Kunikida-san." was the man's response.

Armed, overconfident adults were thequickest to die like this. Many thieves who tried stealing money from thechildren met their end at Akutagawa's hand.Akutagawa murdered all those who threatened his turf without showingany emotion or even saying a word, earning him the moniker of the SilentMad Dog. There was no threatening roar or warning growl. By the time histarget realized what was happening, it was already too late; Akutagawa hadthem by the throat. He was far more vicious than any noisy mad dog. Hewas shunned, feared—and that was how he became known by hisnickname.
