"Rashomon...," he murmured in almost a whisper, raising his arm andclosing his eyes almost completely. "...Misty Rain."Countless fine, threadlike blades immediately shot out of Akutagawa'sentire body. The extremely fine needles had the power to cut through spaceitself. They clustered together and headed right for Atsushi, who promptlydodged with his extraordinary reaction speed. The shower of needlespierced the building's exterior beneath his feet, and the concrete burst like asplash of water.

"I must admit, that's a very useful ability you got there." Fyodor remarked.

"Nobody asked you Russian rat." Chuuya snarked.

As Atsushi continued running upward to escape the needles, Akutagawafollowed him using his skill's thread to support his weight and suspend himin midair as if he were flying. His eyes were still almost completely shut; helooked like he was dozing off.The two ran until they reached the summit of the building. The rooftophad a helipad, but there was no helicopter in sight. (A/N- HeLicOptEr HeLicOptEr )

It was completely flatwith only red guide lights (A/N I cannot breathe without you being right by my side) and painted signs for landing.Atsushi grabbed onto the edge of the roof before hurling himself up androlling forward onto the rooftop. Akutagawa appeared right under him inpursuit.

"Hold on a second, when did the tide reverse." a confused Tachihara asked earning looks of disappointment from around the room. "He what did I do?!" he whined.

Numerous threads punctured the building, which allowed him togracefully float, woodenly expressionless, as if he was asleep. His skill'sthreads writhed around him like an eerie mane. The sky behind him wasdyed crimson as the burning setting sun melted into the horizon. He was ademon—a harbinger of worldly doom.

"Akutagawa..." Atsushi glared at the demon. "I will...defeat you...!"

Atsushi jumped into the air, heading straight for Akutagawa beforethrowing a right punch into his enemy's face with breathtaking speed.

"Damn! If it was anyone else then their skull would've shattered from the force." Yosano said as she watched the scene in awe.

"Akutagawa blocked the punch with Spatial Break, just in time to keep hisskull from cracking.Spatial Break produced a tear in space itself that could block anythingfrom getting by, no matter how powerful an attack.However.

"Uwooooooh!"

A crack appeared on the tear in space. Every muscle in Atsushi's bodyswelled as he focused all his skill's powers on his fist in an attempt to breakthrough the strange phenomenon.

"Uwoaaaaaah!"

"Okay the kid officially lost it." Chuuya said making Beast Atsushi embarrassed.

Both Atsushi's and Akutagawa's clothes fluttered under the pressure oftheir powers colliding. As Atsushi's overcoat flew off, his handheldtransceiver fell out of its pocket and bounced off the rooftop. The crackspread throughout the tear as it slowly shattered.

"Uwooaaahhh... Wha...what...?"

Atsushi couldn't believe what he was seeing. Akutagawa, who hadpursued him all the way to the roof, had his eyes completely shut. Hisbreathing was extremely shallow, and his entire body was limp. He wasn'tthe slightest bit worked up from battle.

"That is truly a terrifying skill. Must require massive concentration and years of experience." Kunikida muttered to himself.

"Ne Kunikida-kun? Did you know that meditating for 10 minutes under water helps achieving this technique?" Dazai said.

"Huh really?" Kunikida asked bewildered.

"Come on note it down." he insisted.

"Meditating underwater helps achieving-" "I was joking" Kunikida's pen broke as he lunged to strangle Dazai.

Akutagawa was already unconscious.

"eh- EHHHH" Tachihara exclaimed.

He didn't have even an ounce of strength left after pushing his body farbeyond what it was capable of. It was his drive to fight and nothing morethat was powering his skill.

 "You went...that far...?"

Utterly amazed, Atsushi's eyes opened wide, but almost immediately, they glowed with battle-ready ferocity once more.

"Then...let's end this...!"

His muscles swelled even further.

"Ahhhhhh!"

"Remind me never to send Atsushi to deliver the surprise attack. With all the noise he's making, it would be miracle if they didn't hear him from a mile away." Kunikida said making Atsushi whine in protest.

With a high-pitched crack and flashes of dazzling light...the SpatialBreak was destroyed, and Atsushi's fist finally reached Akutagawa's face, sending him flying back with a meteorite-like shock wave. Akutagawaimmediately crashed into the ground. Concrete shot into the air as his bodyskidded until finally coming to a stop at the edge of the rooftop. It was aperfect hit—the most damaging hit that Akutagawa had ever taken.

Everyone winced at the impact.

Atsushi slowly approached his unconscious foe. Even Akutagawa'sautonomic defenses had far exceeded what they were capable of as theywrithed to form blades, only to disintegrate due to the lack of power.

"It's over."

Atsushi's fingers suddenly extended into tiger claws. Right next toAkutagawa's body was the sky, which extended to the surface far below. There was no longer any distress on Akutagawa's unconscious face. All hecould hear was the gentle sound of the wind.

"Kunikidaaa! Can I throw another one?"

"Kenji, wait! They're too high up! You'll hit Akutagawa if you throwone from here!"

"And you'll be doing Atsushi a favor." Kunikida completed.

Kenji and Kunikida were shouting on one of the middle floors in thebuilding under construction across from the Mafia headquarters. Kunikidawas looking through a pair of binoculars to check where exactly Akutagawawas positioned, while Kenji was waiting for his next order with a steelbeam on his shoulder.

"Damn it! Akutagawa isn't moving! But there's no way we can backhim up from this distance..."

The detective agency's president had ordered Kunikida and Kenji tocome here and provide Akutagawa with backup, but Kenji wouldn't be ableto accurately throw another steel beam all the way to the rooftop. Clenchinghis teeth, Kunikida growled.

"Is there...really nothing we can do...?!"

"Is there?" Chuuya asked receiving a smack from Kouyou.

"Don't be pessimistic Chuuya-kun." "Sorry Ane-san."
