Sorry for the late update guys. But Wattpad wasn't working.

Also, none of the targets were complete. A lot of people don't even follow me on Wattpad compared to the number of reads the book has. So much hard work and for what? You people don't even support me enough.

All these things have disheartened me, and Im sorry to tell you all, I won't be updating the next chapters unless you complete the targets and start following me on Wattpad.

First day of college

First day of college. I walked through the big gate with my heart beating fast. So many new faces, everyone talking, laughing, moving around. I felt small in the middle of all that noise. I checked my phone again for the schedule. Orientation was in the auditorium, but I had no idea where it was.

After asking two people and going the wrong way twice, I finally found it. It was a big hall, already half full. I went in and sat somewhere in the middle.

Few minutes later, a girl came and sat next to me. She smiled. I smiled back.

The program started. Some teacher came on stage and started talking. I opened my notebook to take notes, but my pen slipped and fell down. Before I could reach for it, the girl beside me picked it up.

"Here," she said, handing it back.

"Thanks," I said.

"First day nervousness?" she asked.

"Yeah, a little," I said.

"I'm Diya. Diya Singhania. I'm a fashion student doing MBA in brand management", she said, twirling her pen between her fingers.

She was poised, stylish in a way that was effortless—her cream blazer draped casually over her shoulders, her sleek ponytail bouncing as she talked.

"Oh. I'm—" I told her my name.

She looked at me and smiled again. "You are so beautiful, by the way."

"Thanks," I said, a bit shy.

We talked a bit more after the first speech. She told me about her family. "My mom is my dad's second wife. I have two brothers. Both older. They're crazy about cricket and bikes."

"That sounds fun," I said.

"What about you? Any siblings?"

"Yeah, I also have two brothers. One older, one younger."

"Oh, nice. You're the middle one then," she laughed. "And your family? You live with them?"

"I'm married," I said.

She looked surprised. "Oh wow, that's rare. You look so young. Lucky guy, huh? What's his name?"

"Saransh."

"Oh, I know a Saransh too. Can I see a picture?" she asked.

I hesitated again, fingers tightening around my phone. She noticed the pause and softened. I just realised that I never thought of keeping any of his pictures in my phone.
