When I said that the book is about to be end, it didn't mean it will end tomorrow, there are so many things left and it'll be at least ten or more chapters. And my dear cutie readers, I am not gonna rob you of anything. 🙂↔️😚
Also I kept writing and writing and didn't realise when the chapter became so long. I had to cut it in 2 parts. This one has around 5K words, and the next chapter will finally have their date. _________

"You're not going to kill someone?" she laughs nervously. "Right?"
My eyes widen. "What—of course not, sweetheart!"Well... that's a lie.
She lets out a breath, relieved, and I can't help but chuckle at how adorably naive she looks. God, she's so damn cute. I lean in without thinking, brushing my lips against her cheek. Her skin is so soft, so warm, that the moment I touch her, it's like something inside me melts completely.
I linger a second longer than necessary, savouring the way she instinctively leans into me.
Reluctantly, I pull back, giving her one last smile before heading out the door towards my car.
I don't even remember the last time I enjoyed myself this much. The last time I laughed without feeling the weight of the world pressing down on my chest.
It's crazy.
The first time I saw her, something in me shifted, something I couldn't name. My heart had fluttered in a way it never had before.
And now, every time I look at her, every time she smiles at me... I swear, it's like my heart might beat right out of my damn chest.
And that bastard dared to touch her.
I shake my head as I drive, my grip tightening on the wheel.
Dr. Bhargava had already texted to inform me he wouldn't be able to make it for today's session—some family emergency. But I had already been halfway home by then, so I figured, why not just keep going? Spend the rest of the day with my wife.
Thank God I did.
Because I don't think I'll ever forget the sight that greeted me when I arrived.
She had tried to pull her hand away, but that son of a bitch had held on, refusing to let go.
"You can hold onto me," I mimic under my breath, the words dripping with venom.
Yeah? Now he won't be able to hold onto anything.
The second I stepped inside, I'd cleared my throat loudly, enough to make the guy jump back. But before letting him slither away, I had already texted Atul to be ready—to catch the bastard on his way out.
Thankfully, Atul was already in the palace grounds and didn't miss him.
It was Atul who called me later, voice sharp and triumphant.
