We both woke up in a good mood. Last night felt magical—like something had shifted between us. Things felt warmer, closer. Better.

I stood in front of the mirror, applying my lip gloss when Saransh came up behind me. His arms wrapped around my waist as he buried his face in the crook of my neck. I felt his soft breath against my skin as he sighed deeply, like he could stay like this forever.

Just then, his phone rang, breaking the quiet moment. He groaned lightly and picked it up. I realized I hadn't checked my phone since last night. I looked around the room, trying to remember where I might've left it.

Saransh ended the call and turned to me. "What are you looking for?"

"My phone," I said.

"Wait, let me call it." He dialed my number, and soon we heard it ringing from the couch. I must've left it there when I went to the balcony last night.

I moved towards it, but he was quicker. He picked up the phone and looked at the screen. Suddenly, his face changed—he looked hurt.

"What happened?" I asked, confused.

He didn't say anything right away, just passed the phone to me. That's when I remembered. His contact name on my phone still said "Bipolar Asshole."

I cringed.

At first, I'd saved his number as "Mr. Busy Prime Minister" after he once said he regretted marrying me. Then, after he apologized and took me to that island date, I'd changed it to this as a joke—and then forgot to change it again.

His pout was unmistakable.

"Oh come on," I said. "As if you never saved my number with some nickname."

He held out his phone for me to see. My name was saved as "Sweetheart💗."

Oh.

"You must've changed it recently," I mumbled.

He shook his head. "It's been like this from the very first day."

He looked down again, clearly upset.

"Are you really sad?" I asked softly.

He didn't answer, just gave a small shrug.

I walked over to him and stood on my tiptoes. Gently, I cupped his face in my hands and made him look at me. "Let me make you feel better."

I kissed his cheek. Then the other. I kissed the tip of his nose, then gave him a soft kiss on his lips, and one more on his chin. I tried to reach his forehead, but even on my toes, I couldn't.

Just as I was stepping back, he pulled me close and lifted me off the ground so I could reach. I laughed and kissed his forehead, letting the moment linger.
