"You!" Elder Saga roared, jumping up from his seat. The other two quickly followed suit, leaping up from their own chairs.
Jupiter had grabbed Morrigan's wrist, pulling her behind him.
"You are no longer welcome here Ezra Squall." Elder Quinn proclaimed, authority radiating off of her.
"As entertaining as it would be to see you fail to make me leave, I'm only here to deliver a message, not cause harm." Squall drawled.
"Well deliver it then." Baz grunted.
"No! He's a murderer, we can't listen to him!" Nan cried, throwing her arms up.
Squall sighs. "I'm not going to kill anyone ms." He says coldly. "If you want to see the other two scholars again, have Miss Crow meet me in Courage Square at midnight tonight. Alone." As he said this his eyes landed on Morrigan. His gaze cold and calculated.
Jupiter noticing this, pulled Morrigan further behind him, shielding her from view.
"That's cute Captain North. Thinking you can protect her from me." Squall laughed.
"You have delivered your message, now begone!" Elder Wong jumped in, his tone commanding.
He was answered with a snide smile and a puff of smoke.
"Mog, are you ok?" Jupiter asked, turning to face her and pulling her into a bone crushing hug.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine." She murmured, as she pulled away, but Jupiter didn't miss her voice shaking.
"You sure?" He probed.
"I'm fine." She answered defiantly.
Squall's words still reverberated around her head.
If you want to see the other two scholars again.
That's cute, thinking you can protect her from me.
"Well there's no way we're letting Morrigan do that" Miss Cheery said, just as Baz asked, "What's the plan then, when did he say for her to meet him? Twelve?"
They glare at each other for a moment before Elder Quinn said, "We will not make Morrigan do this. In fact, I forbid it."
"We do not trade one for another. That is not how we need, or should, be going about this." Elder Saga agreed, throwing Baz a Pointed look.
"Captain North, take your scholar home, she has done all she can to help." Elder Wong ordered.
Elder Quinn grabbed Jupiter's arm before he could turn away.
"Do not let her out of your sight. People make rash decisions when people they love are on the line." She breathed.
And she was not mistaken.
