When they got back to the Decalion Morrigan went straight up to her room, not saying a word. Her brain was already whirring, thinking up a plan to save her friends and stop Squall once and for all.
There was one thought that she just couldn't shake. She mightn't even be able to do it. But, just maybe... it was worth a shot?
*******
Jupiter cracked open the door to room 85. A sliver of light illuminates Morrigan, sound asleep and snoring lightly.
Jupiter lets out a breath he hadn't realised he'd been holding, he thought she would've taken Squall's offer to meet him.
He pulls the door shut again, wincing when its hinges creak, but she doesn't flinch.
A flash of light from behind him makes Jupiter halt in his retreat. He turns back, twisting the handle and pushing the door wide open.
There was no longer the rising and falling of her chest beneath the blankets. In fact, Morrigan was not there at all.
Panic surged through Jupiter as he made his way back down the hall, calling her name.
He was in the lobby now, eyes flicking around, searching.
What time is it? Maybe she has gone to meet him...
12:17
It was 12:17.
That was when it clicked, she had gone to save her friends, gone and put her life in danger.
Jupiter was running now, feet pounding off the floor, heading towards the main doors. He grabbed his coat as he dashed out.
If she was doing this, she wouldn't be alone.
No matter what Squall said.
