"Huh. Where would that be?" Hawthorne wonders.
"Where fires burn and we sing our songs. Maybe a campfire?" Cadence says. She didn't look convinced.
Mog bites the inside of her cheek, lost in thought. Fires burn, songs..... songs....
"The opera house!" She screeches.
Anah, Arch and Thaddea turn towards them, startled by her outburst.
"Sorry!" Morrigan calls over to them. Turning back to her friends, she whispers, "The Nevermoor Opera House! They sing there like all the time, it's literally an opera house, duh! And, I kinda set it on fire one time.."
"Hmmm, it's worth a shot." Cadence nods.
"Let's go!" Hawthorne says, setting off running down the road.
"Hawthorne... it's that way." Mog laughs.
"Oh."
The Nevermoor Opera House looked regal as always. The windows were thrown open, letting sunlight flood in, chased by a crisp spring breeze. The newly restored velvet curtains were pulled back, revealing a beautiful woodland set piece.
"Well where is it?" Hawthorne asks.
"How am I supposed to know, I'm not a psychic." Mog snaps back.
"Geez, what's got your knickers in a twist, grumpy McGee." He grumbles
"Let's try the stage. That's where the curtains burnt down, so it would make sense." Cadence buts in.
"Let's try." Hawthorne replies.
As the trio approach the curtains Morrigan notices a note pinned on one of the folds.
"Look, there's a note!" She says.
"Oh we're so gonna win!" Hawthorne hollers.
"Not with you screaming and getting us kicked out were not." Cadence chastises.
"Sorry!" Hawthorne replies, his voice low.
Mog reaches her hand out, about to grab the note when Hawthorne grabs her wrist, pulling it back.
"What?" Morrigan asks him.
"It might be booby trapped. Let me do it." Hawthorne says, snatching the note.
