It's a Trap

The only sounds are their slow approaching footsteps.

"Odasaku, duck!" Dazai yells, Oda listens. A flashbang goes off and blinds the men.

"The gallant hero," said Yosano.

"God, only in his headcanon," said Higuchi. Yosano turned to Higuchi slightly shocked by her choice in words. A blush appeared on her face as she attempted to not look her way.

A flurry of bullets go through the men until the firing stops and they fall to the ground.

Atsushi focuses on the audience's faces, almost all of them didn't even react at the death on screen and the reactions that were there were nothing of note. He looked back at the scene as Oda was kneeling on the ground.

"You are always such a troublemaker, Odasaku." He looks up to see Dazai smiling at him.

He wanted to know Odasaku who he is because this Dazai seemed to care about him. Maybe Atsushi was wrong about his assumption about the Demon Prodigy. He had always envisioned him as a husk of what a person should be but that wasn't right so what was it? His brain hurt.

"I know that you could have easily and quickly, killed Everyone of these gunmen," reaching out a hand, "if you so had wanted to."

'My ability: flawless, allows me to see up to six seconds to the future,' Oda's voiceover says as he takes Dazai's hand.

A 'huh,' came across the crowd.

"Then why hide it if he was that skilled he could be someone remembered. No one even knows about him. I mean everyone who is worth remembering–" Higuchi seemed to think out loud.

"What do you think a legacy is?" Ranpo cut her off.

"It's the highlight what you are remembered for its—"

"Do you think that because someone didn't become a legend or make something of their lives that they have no one that honors them or remembers them?"

"That's not what–"

"No, that's what you meant. Everyone has someone you might not like but that is the truth. So when you kill someone remember that just as you have someone, they probably did too." Ranpo steel gaze locked onto her face demanding something in her response.

"They won't have given us information if we took them alive, they already proved they love the taste of their poison pills too much," Oda continues to look at the men on the ground, displeased by Dazai's statement.

"He's got a point." Yosano said.

"Is this something you normally do like in your job as an executive?" Haruno asked.

"My job was to keep the organization running properly and ensure it's betterment." was his answer.

'That really isn't an answer,' the audience thought.

"I know, it wasn't the methodology you were concerned with."

Oda was completely opposite of who he thought Dazai would be friends with, someone that actively took steps to not take a life. Kunikida looked at the redhead on screen and wondered if in another life they would have been friends. If he would work well with the other agency members. A picture was painted in his head with Dazai and Oda together in the office working, talking, and just existing.

"Listen to me these men were combat professionals even you wouldn't have been able to avoid killing them," Dazai lectured.

"True, if you hadn't had shown up I would be dead now,"
