Oda is shown with the kids' shadow over him. "I guess I have to show how scary the real mafia is..."

"Oh, shit! He's about to pop off," Tachihara remarked

"Poor kid may thee rest in peace," Tanizaki jokes.

The audience was left waiting as the screen changed. A familiar key beginning.

"Oh, it's the new song." Chuuya dreamly stated. Most had almost forgotten that a new song had played at the end of last episode as digesting the contents of the episode was at the forefront of his mind.

The coloring was de-saturated leaving behind monochrome of the bay. A man shown under a lamplight, his silhouette casted onto the ground below. There's a neon sign with unclear words. The lights of Yokohama behind him, flickering. As the song ramps up. The port mafia towers loom in red lights, the moon in the background.

"You know you got to give screenbro points he's got this art direction on lock. It feels like a completely different show."

"Yeah, like almost everything fun has been drained and what remains is just a gaping hole."

SOme in the audience agreed with this thought though the picture it painted was disturbing.

Ranpo's eye roamed the screen, gently he spoke, "It's film noir under the subgenre of mafia films. It's just how these stories go. Heavy focus themes and style to illustrate a thematic point overall"

"I just meant it looks cool," somewhat despondent.

Many nodded their heads at the statement

Right before the singing starts the top part is zoomed in.

Why can't I find the shining light?

Dazai is in the middle beside him is Ango and Oda in a room with screens showing the events of the recent episode.

It was loud and shocking and it felt like a direct departure from the previous opening.

The reason for me to live my life

It was serious and the words made it clear the singer was longing for something that the previous song didn't display.

Only yesterday, I went astray and

As it pushes past them the screen goes black with the show title in the center of the room.

"Good one, we are watching the show and in the opening they're watching the show. I see what you did there screenbro," Tachihara smirked.

"Oda is the narrator of the story but for the most part he speaks in past tense," Ranpo commented.

"Like reflections from another point in the story," Yosano pointed out.

Ranpo looked at the cookie in his hand, "Yes, exactly as if he is reviewing the moments leading up to whatever moment is the present for him."

"Wait, that doesn't explain Dazai?" Naomi asked.

"Still the same show, thus two protagonists, and because it's Dazai, he follows the same rules as the previous season," Ranpo explained.

"Huh, well that's something to chew on," Hirusto said for Gin.

To be replaced by Oda standing in the middle of an hallway, before turning away being replaced by red neon words.

My mind began to fade away

I can't keep up, we all are just Stray Dogs!

"Congratulations, Tachihara, you did it. You got your own opening number," Atsushi said enthusiastically.
