"I would like a full explanation. '' Dazai is shown in the dungeon at his feet are the men that were caught in his trap.
There it was again—the cold, detached voice that starkly contrasted with the soft playful tone heard only moments before. It demanded attention and radiated a tension that underscored his authority. It was a chilling reminder that they might soon confront the very thing that led to his departure. His current imposing presence, Dazai, seen on screen, loomed over everyone in the room seemingly growing more annoyed with each word. The audience heard the goons' frantic attempts to explain what had happened, but their efforts fell short as Dazai began to speak.
"I already knew that I was the one who would put all the plans in motion. I am talking about afterwards," his voice fraying at the end.
"Yeah, this doesn't look good. I think this is the first time I've seen him look so angry," Tanizaki said, with some fright.
"Look angry?" Atsushi questioned.
"I don't know, this is hard to describe, but Dazai doesn't emote. It's way easier to pin what he is feeling via his voice than his face; thus, Dazai isn't angry, he is pissed. That is a skill who ever pissed him of is about to get fuck," Tanizaki said.
"Well..." One of them begins.
"I don't know, he sounds annoyed."
"Well, incompetent subordinates will do that to you," Hirusto replied.
Atsushi looked over at Dazai, if not just for a break from occurring on the screen. Trying to rebalance himself the rest of the audience's attention remained on the screen. Yet his eyes always wandered around the room. Dazai had his arms crossed but it seemed to be more of self comfort than anything else.
"He proceed to come after us–"
Atsushi's eyes swimmed over to Chuuya's face with a frown ever present. Which made his face match that expression and the next few words explaining why.
"That's when I decided to step in to take care of the matter," Akutagawa interjected his normal attire on display along with the lower half of his face. The men moved out of his way. Dazai remains looking at the scene in front of him.
Chuuya hadn't seen Akutagwa look so small. The other scene had barely shown the boy, but now. It was easy to forget that Akutagawa was two years younger than him and Dazai, but the stark height difference and the way the youth clung to his face was undeniable.
"Do you have a problem with that?" Akutagawa asked behind Dazai.
Chuuya groans, Akutagawa has a knack for saying the worst possible thing to his superior. To make matters worse, Dazai is clearly in no mood for leniency. The Mafioso can guess where Dazai's head was at, like Oda, that Dazai has been reviewing every moment with Ango, but unlike Oda, Dazai is searching for flaws—cracks in the facade that he might have overlooked or ignored.
"Of course not. Akutagawa, you defeated the terrible, monstrous enemy and protected our comrades from certain doom. That's absolutely splendid." The camera pans up to Akutagawa's younger face.
"He's so young," Atsushi whispered.
"If it weren't for your awesome powers, our men would have been utterly helpless to stop such a fearsome foo." Dazai turns to the younger, his eyes closed.
"Ah sarcasm, the death of all conversations," Ranpo remarked.
Dazai turns to the younger, "Nothing less from my subordinate."
