Oda is shown with the kids again. "Do you surrender?"

The kids are all tie up the oldest shouts,"not a chance"

"Man, why can't Bungou Stray Dogs just be like this," Haruno questioned.

"Cause our life isn't this," Naomi stated.

"We won't be here if it was like this," Yosano murmured.

"But sometimes I wish it was that simple that there wasn't another shoe," Tanizaki reflected. "you know."

Oda lowers himself down to there level, "It's time for some mafia style to torture."

He starts to tickle the kid, his giggles and laughs through it begging for it to stop.

'So, this is Oda, a parent.' Kunikda thought a sad smile crossed his features. As he watched the scene come to its conclusion It felt like being in the eye of the storm. Whatever comes after this is going to be painful and cruel. Kunikida could only hope that no one would bring these kids into whatever comes next. Wars should not be fought by children. For reasons beyond him his eyes shifted to Akutagawa seeing the slight scowl that covered his face, the light from the screen casting shadow.

"I'm looking forward to it." Oda says in his normal deadpan voice the door behind him.

It cuts to a familiar mop. "This is too hot." The youth says as Oda makes his way back to the restaurant.

"I guess, we are back to our regularly scheduled programming," Hirusto said for Gin.

"Did you add lava to it as a secret ingredient or something?" Dazai questioned the cook.

"Feeling the heat, are we Dazai?" Tachihara let out a chuckle; it almost felt like the early episodes. Dazai would fire back and then everyone in the audience would laugh. But Dazai didn't reply and the silence was unsettling so they pressed on.

"Odasaku gets that dish all the time," the Chef responded, seemingly pleased that Oda's acquaintance stopped by.

It cuts to show Oda, looking at Dazai who is struggling to eat his food.

"So, how did things go with the kids?" Chief turns to Oda.

"Same as usual."

"Just business as usual here, huh?" Naomi smiled.

"Yeah, which only makes it worse somehow," Haruno stated.

Dazai puts down his spoon, his face returning to its blank expression. "Are those the orphans from the Ryuzu dispute that happened two years ago?–"

"Oh yeah," Chuuya said, dragging a hand through his hair. "Eighty-eight days of pure chaos. Damn big legals, always screwing things up."

Higuchi snorted. "Typical."

Chuuya's gaze shifted to Big Sis, catching the proud smirk curling her lips. It tugged something warm in his chest. After everything with Kyouka, seeing her smile again felt like a small miracle.

He leaned back with a humorless chuckle as Kouyou opened her mouth. "We were already weak after the first disaster. Then we lost Colonel in the mess — not that I miss him, but the timing couldn't have been worse. And just when things couldn't get any worse, that child decides to get kidnapped, and as usual, my Chuuya had to clean up after his mess,"  Big Sis's voice sharpened.

A few chuckles rippled through the room.

"When the smoke cleared," Big Sis said, voice dropping lower, "the Port Mafia was stronger than ever."
