Meeting The Boys

Chapter 16

Marisa pulls my arm and drags me to her room.

"So how did it go?" She asks me smiling.

"Cody punched a guy for smacking my ass!"

"That's wonderful, that means he's jealous."

"No he's not ... He can't be. He doesn't like me. He has a girlfriend duh!"

Marisa face palms herself," Trust me with years of experience I'm sure he likes you!!!"

"Yeah right."

I bump into Cody after class.

"Hey you're actually wearing normal clothes," he says looking down at me smiling.

"I was trying something new yesterday. I'm a grown woman in America I can wear what I please. And if I want to dress ugly or slutty or nerdy or preppy I can because I have my rights as an American!" I finish my speech making my big deal about it.

"Um.. Well that was a long ass speech," he lets out a little laugh.

"It sure was. But you will appreciate that speech because I had to memorize it. And it took for hours...HOURS." I say moving my hands all around.

"Oh umm... Bravo," he claps going along with me then smirks.

"Hehehe you're funny most guys would just walk away when I joke around like that."

"Ha well I'm not like most guys," he winks.

"And I'm not like most girls" I say proudly.

"That's for sure," he smiles.

I feel butterflies in my stomach. And let out a nervous laugh.

"You have a cute laugh," he says smiling.

"Thanks."

"Hey I will talk to you later, I have to go to work now."

"Aw okay." I smile.

"Madison! " Marisa sees me and yells my name.

"What did I do?" I ask scared. "I didn't mean to loose your headphones. It's just one day I sat them down and they were gone."

"What? What headphones? No forget that I'm not mad ... I want to give you something." Marisa smiles.

"Oh," I take the envelope from her that she hands me.

"What's this?"

"Open it silly!"

I open it and find a Michigan adventure ticket.

"We are going to Michigan adventures together?" I ask.

"Yup with Tyler and Cody." Marisa smiles.

"Cody's going?"

"Well duh!"

"Is this another double date because he has a girlfriend."

"Oh come on she doesn't have to know about this." Marisa rolls her eyes.

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"Geez Madison you act like you might actually kiss him or something. Don't worry right now you're just going out as friends so come on!"

"Wait we are going right now at 12 in the after noon?"

"Yup come on pack your bathing suit."
