The scene opens the day after the previous episode

Jack: gather round everyone. It's time to tell you my story.

Everyone gathers around as Jack opens the book the book creates a visual representation of his life

Jack: As all humans start out I was born I had a dad a mom and a sister. I loved my dad and my sister but my mom my mom was everything to me.

The representation shows jacks mom holding a baby Jack as she sings a lullaby

Bella:
Hush, little one, let me sing you to sleep
Moonlight has come, now, drift off to a dream
Sail from the day to the wonders awaiting you out there
In the deep
Off little one, chase the wind on the waves
Adventure is calling, so go and be brave

Bella/jacks sister:

Bella hands Jack to his sister the representation walks over to Jack who has shed his jacket she cups his face as he tears up

Bella:
My love is a lighthouse
So darling, my darling

The representation fades

Jack: Her name was Lilith Carradine but when she meet my father she took on his name but she also changed her first name to Bella but her parents hated that name so when she died they put her old name on her tombstone but I always remembered her as Bella.

The representation shows Bella in a hospital bed her beautiful hair gone and she's gravely sick a 8 year old Jack walks up to her and holds her hand

8 year old jack: please get better mommy.

Bella: Oh Jack. Sweetie mommy will try. I want you to promise me something.

8 year old Jack: what is it mommy?

Bella: Promise me you'll always be good always be kind always do what's right.

8 year old Jack: I will mommy I promise.

Bella's heart rate monitor begins to slow

Bella: I love you.

It goes flat

8 year old Jack: mommy? Wake up. Wake up! Mommy? Mommy! Mommy!! Mommy!!!

The hotel patrons watch with different emotions Charlie is sobbing vaggie looks away Angel covers his mouth husk holds his hat to his chest Alastor turns away to hide his true feelings niffty was confused but also sad sir pentious was holding his egg bois close Clay was just speechless and mark look to his best friend in sorrow the representation changes

Jack: a few years later dad died in a car crash my sister room care of me. Some time later I meet my two Best friends we were inseparable. But then we grew up and me and my sis had to move soon I became a huge movie star then I meet her.

The representation shows him meeting Lizzy

Jack: she was the love of my life and for the first two years everything was perfect. Then it all went to shit.

Lizzy: I'm worried Jack you're not you anymore.

Jack: I'm fine Liz.

Lizzy: you're not fine! You're drinking smoking what else have you been doing?

Jack: trying to provide for us. why can't you see that?!

Lizzy: Cause you're turning into someone else you're not the Jack I fell in love with.

Jack: then why don't you just leave!

Lizzy was heart broken she began to sing

Lizzy:
When we first met, your heart was free
Your hopeful eyes saw only me
Now you're looking for something
Something I can never be
When you are really all I need

Lizzy:
You keep on telling me "later"
But later never comes around
Please stop telling me later
As you search for what just can't be found

Lizzy:
Take my hand

The Jack representation turns to scold only for them both to freeze as the real Jack takes his representation's place

Jack:
When you met her, you were set free
Her love for you was plain to see
You kept looking for something
A measure of security
But she was really all you need

Jack:
You kept on telling her "later"
But later never comes around
Please stop telling her later
Stop searching for what can't be found

Jack:
Take her hand
Go with her now and you'll fly free
No more later, we both know that's a lie
This will be the day she says
(Jack falls to his knees)
Goodbye (Lizzy: goodbye)
Goodbye (Lizzy: goodbye)

Lizzy: Goodbye Jack.

Lizzy walks out the door as Jack sits on his knees crying

Jack: and I never saw her again. After I lost her I changed myself I became better got clean sober found a better place to work then one day when I tried saving a woman from a thief I was shot. I wound up in heaven where I spent all my time trying to help winners adjust to heaven. But I found out about a plot to overthrow the seraphim Lux was going to bring them down and take over but he could let me warn them so her framed me for a seraphim's death and had me executed but I escaped to hell. I built myself back up as the cosmic demon.

The representation ends with Jack reuniting with mark and Clay.

Jack: And that's my story.

Mark and Clay hug Jack as the book closes the other patrons minus Alastor hug Jack he smiles happy to have friends like them the screen fades to black as the short ends the final battle is soon to come
