[The episode opens on Jack and pentious sitting in their cell.]

Sir Pentious: Jack must ask, is everyone okay? Our friends I mean?

Jack: There fine pentious there—

(Jack is cut off as lute comes in with a couple of seraphim.)

Lute: Take the snake.

(The seraphim produce two chains on pentious's arms and drag him out of the cell.)

Sir pentious: Where are you taking me?!

Jack: Hey!

(Lute holds her sword up to jacks neck as pentious is dragged out.)

Sir pentious: Jack! Jack! Help!

Jack: Pentious! If you hurt one scale on his head I swear—!

Lute: You'll what traitor? You can't do anything. Your trial will be after his.

(Lute leaves slamming the door shut.)

Jack: Pentious! Pen! PEN!!!

[cut to  a close-up of Sir Pentious, who suddenly arrived in Heaven after his supposed death by Adam during the Extermination in Hell.]

Sir Pentious: Well, this is quite the warm welcome.

[Cuts to Sir Pentious now standing in the centre of Heaven's courtroom.]

Angel: (off-screen) Sera, what do you plan on doing with this? Nothing like this has happened before!

Emily: We shouldn't be worried about this. We should be making things right. We need to make things right. We need to go down and talk to Charlie.

One-eyed angel: What is the meaning of this, Sera?

Insect angel: You commanded an Extermination of Hell, and you kept it from us? How long has this been going on?

[Cuts a lower close-up of Sera's face. Sera is shown sweating when the angels confronted her.]

Emily: The exterminations have always been wrong. We bear some of that responsibility.

Ribbon angel: Now the demons have managed to kill the leader of our army? What if Hell wants vengeance on us now?

Masked angel: Will the Morningstar return?

Crazed angel: Well— what— what was it? I don't... Adam? But dead? Should be— I don't know, really. (babbling)

Lanky angel: A sinner has made it to Heaven? How is this possible?

One-eyed angel: Was this redemption?

Angel: (off-screen) You told us that souls were decided, that nothing could change that. We trusted your word that this could never happen.

Sera: It can't. (to Sir Pentious) You, demon. How did you get here?

Sir Pentious: I, um... I-I-I don't—.

Sera: How did you get here? You had to have forced your way in. Was it the Morningstar? How did you get past the gate? (turns to St. Peter) Peter! Did you let him in?

St. Peter: Uh...

[Sera glares at Peter.]

St. Peter: I swear to the Speaker, I did not let him in.

Emily: Sera, he didn't force his way in. We both saw it. He ascended. He was redeemed—.

Sera: Don't. Don't say it, Emily. Please. We need...

[Emily holds Sera's hand]

Sera: We need answers.

Lute: We don't need answers, we need action. He killed Adam. That's an act of war. We need to go down and—.
