I stand in a dark room, surrounded by nothingness, this must be a dream... I pinch my arm but it seems to do nothing. I look up and there she stands, happy and alive, stood right in front of my face.

"Mia" She whispers smiling. "You're going to be okay, I promise you. Look I'm sorry okay, I love you"

"Effie no" I say, but no words come out my mouth, I shout and shout but no audible sound comes from my mouth, just silence.

"Look you need to listen to me" She repeats, her voice getting fainter. "You need to stay away from him" She urges.

Who?

"Who?" I scream but just like last time, nothing happens.

White noise pierces my ears, causing my whole body to stop functioning, I press my hands against my ears but it doesn't muffle the sound, instead it amplifies it.

I gasp, jolting up in bed, the sun rising through my window. Thank god, it was a dream. I push my hair out of my face holding my face in my hands, trying to retract my mind back to the real world instead of the fantasy world it had been living in for the last few hours.

Even if the fantasy world had left me scared and shocked, in that world of fantasy my sister was alive. And to be honest that was the only thing I wanted right now, that and to be happy.

"Hey, are you okay?" Cal whispers in his morning voice, rolling over to face me. I smile back at him.

"Yeah I'm fine, I just had a bad dream" I admit truthfully. I look down at my watch to see its 7:20. "Uh Cal, you might wanna leave soon, schools in like an hour"

He sighs, hopping out of bed and pulling on his jeans from yesterday. "Door or window?" he asks, doing up his zipper. If someone walked in right now, they would get the complete wrong impression.

"Window's probably the best shot" I say, stretching in bed. He gives me a smirk before shaking his head.

"Always trying to make it hard for me arent you mush" He laughs, slinging on his top. He grabs his shoes and heads for the balcony.

"Oh Cal-" I say as he spins round. "Thanks for last night" I smile, as he climbs over the other side of the balcony. How he so happily did this almost every day was beyond me.

"Anything for you mush"

"Bye squishy" I laugh, watching him disappear.

I swing my legs out of bed, feeling a spurt of motivation to get out of bed, maybe it was due to the fact I didn't want to fall back into the trap of my own thoughts and dreams.

I open my wardrobe and pull out the first things I find, thankfully a Vans t-shirt and a pair of grey joggers. I quickly sling them on, before walking over to the balcony looking out across the city. I step out of the door breathing in the fresh Sydney air, and from behind me my phone begins to play English Girls - Anarbor.

I bounce over to my phone, lying upon my duvet and pick it up.

"Oi" Isabella's voice rings through the phone. Its not like her to be up this early, usually she rocks up at school at least 10 minutes late.

"Wot" I yell back, laughing to myself.

"I'm actually on time, I'll be on the corner in 15" she says, sounding proud of herself. Get a grip Is, everyone else does this on a daily basis, its not that much of an achievement.

"It's about time" I laugh. "Get it because-"

"Yes I get it, now go away" She laughs.

"But technically you called me"
