Dodging various partying, completely intoxicated teenagers, Maggie hurriedly pulled her coat on in the hallway. Her friends had invited her to a mutual friend of her's cousin's-sister's brother-in law's party. It also wasn't her social group, but her friends had begged her to come, "it's a opportunity to show your face after, you know, the scandal."

After an hour of watching multiple bodies bumping and grinding against each other and every corner occupied by tongues tied couples, it was a clear turn off for the young single debutant and she decided to go home.

The door practically slammed behind her once she was outside and she jumped. With a shiver as particularly harsh gust of wind hit her. Her parents thought she was at a well respectable party, and she couldn't call their driver who no doubt would snitch on due to her mother's persistent inquiries.

She shivered when she heard a garbage can crash from a nearby alleyway. Of course the party had to be in a bad neighborhood. And she like a flaming idiot, was wearing her grandmother's pearls and diamond studs in her ears. She walked a little faster in an attempt to hide from any unseen prying eyes.

She made it a good three blocks, keeping her eyes on her feet, only to freeze when she stumbled into a solid form, almost meeting the concrete below that no doubt would leave a bruise or scratches, that would no doubt give her mother a heart attack, but the feeling never came. Instead, strong hands gripped her waist, keeping her steady.

Blindly she turned and cleric i he her first like her male cousins taught, punched the man in the neck causing him to release his hold choking and coughing.

Opening her eyes Maggie gasped at the sight of John who was bent over coughing. "Oh my sweet Lord! John, I'm so sorry! Why on earth were you standing in the middle of the bloody street!" She scowled, swatting at his back

"Christ love! Can't imagine how that minister's son felt when you punched his nose. For a posh bird, you sure do pack a punch!" John's voice was raspy while he massaged his throat "What're you doing out so late anyway?" He massaged his throat for a few minutes before focusing on the dimming redhead before him.

"Well I was- Wait a minute, why am I answering to you John Lennon. It's none of your business! Besides why were you out so late?!" She snapped eyes glaring viciously.

How dare he ask her such personal questions!

"Well, I was at a gig. Which was fab by the way. So now you know about why I was out. Now, why were you out?" John hoisted his guitar case, that she just noticed, higher on his shoulder.

"I didn't ask you why you were out! So, therefore, I need not tell the likes of you John Lennon." Maggie remarked smugly and John pulled back.

"That hurts love." John pouted but kept in step with her as she began to walk again down the streets, stuffing his hands in his jean pockets.

They walked in silence before John broke it. "Know any good stories than?" Maggie shot him a weird look "Just trying to pass the time." He held up his hands in surrender.

"There was once a princess who was in love with a prince. She thought he loved her but one day she caught him kissing another girl. The princess called off their relationship and she lived happily ever after in her own castle with her own money and she never let another man into her heart again the end." Maggie ended bitterly wiping the tears that had escaped her eyes.

She was tired and still hurting. Some of the people at the party had recognized her and some guys actually tried to offer her money to go upstairs with them.

"That's sad," John glanced at her before he cleared his throat, " I got a better ending. And while the princess was lying in her strawberry field lonely and sad, a handsome musician saw tears falling like diamonds in the sky. At first, when he spoke to her, she wa frightened, having only been in the male domains of horrible walrus like beasts and egg men but she realized he actually was a decent lad and she fell in love with him and they flew up in a boat on a river with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. The End. " Maggie couldn't help but smile at the fairy tale-like ending.

"That actually sounded nice John. I wonder if that musician is around?" Maggie raised an eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips.

She watched him silently as he paused in front of her, staying perfectly still when he reached out, taking her hand and intertwined their fingers before continuing their walk back to the bus stop.

Hi I know really short but I really wanted to get this part up. I think John was so cute!! I know he may be a little OCC but trust me it's for the story's sake right now. Especially with his fairy tale.
