Chapter 60

Maggie's POV

   I tied my hair back and slipped on my sneakers as I prepared for daily morning workout.

   "Hey Maggie where are you going?" Julian wandered into the living room, half awake and hair messy.

  "I'm going for my daily jog. You wanna come love?" I asked and Julian shrugged and went into the guest room for his shoes.

   As I waited for him to tie his shoes,John carried Mary into the room.

  "You got a workout partner?" He smirked cheekily.

     "Yes. Since your to lazy to join me."I rolled my eyes. "But don't you worry. After our run, we'll go down to the studio and than maybe I'll take him out for ice cream. And I won't bring you back anything Lennon." I teased.

"I'v told you love, I'm a singer not a jogger, have fun. Julian, guard her with your life. And please love, don't tire my son out too much." John kissed my cheek and Julian's head before shooing us out.

"So Jules, how's school? And your mum?!" I asked as we slowed to a walk after twenty minutes of jogging.

   "It's alright. And she's good. Joined a book group." Julian shrugged playing with the penny I had found and given to him.

   "That's good love. I'm so happy your here. We all missed you!"

"I missed you guys too. Maggie?" Julian glanced at me. "If something ever happened to mum........ Would you....... Never mind." He shook his head.

"Hey, sweetie. You can tell me anything." My eyes softened in concern and I led him over to a bench up ahead.

"I just wanted to know, if something happened to mum, would you let me live with you? Cause I love you just as much as mum and you've really been like a mother to me." Julian admitted shyly.

I smiled at him wrapping an arm around his shoulders and pulling him close.

"Of course baby. I love you like my own. God forbid something happens to you mum, I'd make sure you were ok." I kissed his head and he snuggled into me.

We sat there for a few minutes before I pulled away. "Ok, we had a mission right? Ten more minutes of running and than ice cream? Think you can make it?" I grinned and Julian jumped to his feet.

"Only if you can catch me!" He smirked before running ahead, laughing I jogged after him.
