Three Months Later.

Maggie's POV

George and I didn't have any difficulty with him traveling back and forth. He actually added on a room in my house and converted it into a mini studio.

I was working on my sculpture, I was building an owl out of metal when a sudden blast of dizziness hit me.

Moving away, I held a hand to my head before falling, the world around me turning black.

I awoke to the steady beeping of a machine and felt someone stroking my hand. Turning my neck, I came to face George who looked extremely worried.

"Geo?" I winched at the dryness of my voice.

George sat up, a small smile lighting in his face. "Hi, darling." He leaned forward to kiss my forehead.

"What happened?" I groaned.

"You fainted. You've been asleep for a couple of hours," A new voice spoke and I looked up at the young doctor who closed the door behind him. "We took some standard tests, your perfectly healthy Mrs. Harrison," Both my and George's dropped in relief."And so is your five-week old baby."

I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head.

George was excited. I swore I never saw him this excited since we had Lucy. George didn't get the opportunity to have more kids since Pattie couldn't, and I knew he loved being a father to our Lucy and a step one to Max.

I was happy, a little surprised, but happy none the less. After three kids, I thought myself an expert in pregnancy. George stayed in Virginia, refusing to leave me alone, which I found pretty sweet.

Lucy and Max were both excited for a new sibling much to my relief. Each wanted a copy of their own gender. Personally, I wanted another little boy. But it didn't matter, so long as the baby was healthy.

Seven months into the Pregnancy.

It was Max's eighth birthday and we threw a huge party. I was actually amazed we could fit so many people in the house.

My parents, George's sister and parents, Julian and Cynthia flew down from Liverpool, Ringo and Barbara came from LA, Paul and Linda and the kids, my friends from the dance school, Max's friends, a couple of George's friends from the music industry and John was scheduled to come with Sean, but I'd yet to see them.

I was currently in the kitchen with Louise, Linda, Cynthia, and Barbara getting the cake all set up.

"I can't believe he's 8," I shook my head. "It feels like yesterday I was rocking him in my arms." Barbara, Cynthia, and Linda shared knowing looks.

"The oldest one's the hardest," Linda chuckled. "Heather's been bossing me and Paul around. Reminding us of stuff, saying we're old." She shook her head.

"So, did you find out the gender of the baby?" Barbara leaned on the counter.

"Yes. We did actually. It's a boy," The women gushed and I giggled. "George is so excited. He hand painted the nursery himself and when we found out the gender, he immediately went shopping for baby boy stuff." The women cooed and awed.

"What are you girls talking about?" Speak of the devil. George came behind me gently holding my bulging stomach.

"What a sweet daddy you are George." Barbara winked.

"George, don't you have a twin brother hiding somewhere?" Linda pouted playfully.

"Sorry babe. Just sleeping beauty for ya." We all laughed before George excused himself.

We continued to chat until it was time to pull out the cake. George and Paul carried out the cake to the backyard where Max stood in front of me. After a verse of Happy Birthday, the candles were blown out and the cake was cut.

While we all ate, I glanced around for John and noticed he didn't come. My blood began to boil at the thought. He promised.

He promised Max he'd be here for his birthday. The poor boy had been so excited to have his daddy here for his birthday. I swore I was going to make John pay for this.

I looked out onto the backyard, most of the guests had dispersed, save for three of the Beatles, Cyn and Julian, and my parents.

Paul, Ringo George, Julian and Max were playing with a baseball and bat Max had gotten for his birthday.

My son had the biggest smile on his face. At least the man who had raised him took over the father slot that John wasn't filling at the moment.

A sudden ringing of the doorbell caught my attention and I walked over.

"You have got a lot of fucking nerve." I narrowed my eyes at John.

"Sorry. Sean got sick yesterday and Yoko wanted me to help take care of him." John looked down sheepishly.

"Your other son was looking forward to having you for his birthday. At least he had Paul and George. I want you to leave John. I don't want him to see you and get upset. Don't ruin this for him. I can't believe how your acting. Didn't you learn enough with Julia to try to enjoy what little moments to cherish?" John's face darkened at the mention of his mother.

"Daddy?" A curious voice called from behind me.

Max moved past me to hug John. "Hey, Max. Happy birthday." John hugged him back. "I can't stay long. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday babe." John pulled a large present from behind his back, handing it to the child whose eyes lit up.

"Wow cool!" He gushed.

"What do you say?" I asked.

"He said cool." John smirked cheekily.

I shot him a pointed look. "Max?"

"Thanks, dad. I'm gonna go show Julian!" He raced off.

"Oh, Jules is here too?" John shifted from foot to foot.

"Yeah. You want me to get him before your off?" I offered and he nodded.

After speaking to Julian, I sat down on the back chair. George sat down in the chair next to mine and took my hand. The sun was starting to set.

"Remember we used to watch the sun rise and set all the time?"

"Yeah. But that's because we had a new born baby girl who woke us at all hours." We both chuckled.

Julian returned twenty minutes later, going over to sit under the tree, Lucy joining him a few minutes later.

I smiled and squeezed George's hand. Even John couldn't ruin such a good day.
