When thinking about the situation Avrin was in, it wasn't as bad as one would think. In fact, you could say it was a rare opportunity. He intended to learn a form of martial arts and this just so happen to fit into place. He knew it wasn't God's work by bending fate for him, it wouldn't be fair, as God would say.
Avrin was quiet for a moment and an eager look appeared on Shimaru's face. This man, in his own right, is more powerful than Avrin and could be said to rival many great masters.
To have him on the level of wanting to take in some stranger he had only met the same day was unheard of, but it was even more proof regarding Avrin's potential.
Avrin was more so interested in how this man managed to tell that he had enough said potential to make him want to take him in. Were all powerful masters and highers this perceptive? He pondered before gazing at Shimaru.
"If its ok with you, I'd like time to think this through. Although this is a rare chance for an individual like myself, it would be unwise of me to jump the gun on this."
"Jump the gun?" Shimaru gazed at Avrin confused, before Avrin chuckled quietly "Hmm its an expression I use. It means to rush something without looking and thinking" Here, Shimaru seemed like he was being taught by Avrin so he chuckled at this and smiled.
"Very well Avrin, I am in no rush. I didn't expect you to decide right away so this is good. I assume you will need to stay here to come to a conclusion, so I will arrange a room for you." Avrin smiled and replied "That would be best, thank you. I myself am somewhat tired after today's trip. We only had a small break after all"
Shimaru raised his hand and clicked his fingers to which the sliding door outside opened and behind it was a maid wearing a sort of kimono, but it had a unique design as if it was something a female maid would wear. A sort of english design
"Take my guest to the furthest room in the right wing of the mansion. He is not to be disturbed and you are to treat him with respect, as if he were a priority clan member. The servant was somewhat shocked. In all her life, she had rarely, if not ever seen the elder treat someone with such importance other than sylph guest's of honor.
The servant nodded and stood up as she spoke "Honored guest, please follow me." Avrin stood up after giving a slight bow towards Shimaru who then spoke "Avrin, a few things. My son, like my granddaughter, is skeptical of outsiders.
I only ask that you behave yourself. Although I am the elder, he is the clan leader now, and my words go only so far. As long as things are kept well nothing bad will befall you."
"I'll try my best" Avrin spoke with a smile, his hood still covering his face. Shimaru was curious as to why he had covered himself so protectively. Not once has he seen his face and he would curse a lesser man for being disrespectful. But he knew Avrin had his reasons.
"I look forward to our meeting again. I am curious about your enigmatic abilities" Shimaru called out just as Avrin left and the servant bowed before sliding the door closed leaving the man alone cross legged.
"Calias you know how I dislike people eavesdropping.." A shadow formed in the corner of the room. From the shadow, a tall man wearing what seemed like decorated basic shinobi attire walked closer with his hands behind his back. He gave a soft smile before speaking "Father, I couldn't help myself.
You seem to hold this individual in high regard. I haven't seen you this easy going in all my life, even when I was considered a genius to the others and even ended up taking over the clan"
Shimaru stood up and walked over to a miniature shrine of worship that was dedicated to all the gods of seleria and he began to pray in his mind while speaking "There is always something more skilled than you. And this individual, I feel he has a great future ahead of him. Something tells me i should assist him in any way I possibly can..."
