The docks of Lumiria were a hub of activity ever since the large vessel carrying Gregson's forces arrived, as well as the objects and exotic things they had acquired from the elven continent. Of course their destination was obviously to the capital city.
Gregson explain to Avrin as both him and Asura followed behind, being guarded by a small group of soldiers. Gregson explained that the goods were something the king enjoyed showing off, being able to acquire unique things was all the rage at the moment between kingdoms and their royalty.
Although Gregson was a soldier of a different kingdom he was currently tasked with serving the capital as if he were born there, it was something all soldiers of high rank and promise would do as a show of good faith towards the empire.
"You would think such a large empire would have its own forces to handle a menial task. I can't help think the more you tell me the more it seems that you were sent just to go pick up some goods this king sounds irritating."
Avrin expressed a little dissatisfaction. Gregson although a soldier of the empire showed a little discomfort at his words as did the soldiers. Who would dare talk back to Avrin, someone who showed to be on par with the king in strength.
"Master I think this human king must be strong to order servants of others to get things for him", Asura spoke somewhat complementing Leo in a positive yet negative manner.
Gregson whispered softly "my lords, although I dare not talk back to you, because we are in the human continent people see the king as a god like figure. It would be best to not talk as such about him, those people do not know of your strength like those of us on the vessel have witnessed."
"I suppose you're right." Avrin agreed he wouldn't talk so much about the king's negative ways in his own eyes he ruled the way he saw it and it matter not to Avrin.
The 3 of them made their way further down the docks ramps watching as the many people were unloading crates with the emblem of the empire on them. Avrin was feeling his body was quite eager for activity, he truly wanted to train and get used to Astaroth. His 3-day training was but a blink of an eye to him.
"Lord Gregson when will we be departing to the capital?" Gregson smiled "Right now actually, the carriage should be here soon, do not worry lord Avrin you are not missing much these port cities are usually very similar."
Gazing around there was quite a heavy presence of soldiers and guards, not just on the docks but also on the streets. Avrin couldn't help but ask why to which Gregson replied "humanity has many hidden enemies and we can never spare enough to protect ourselves, the beast tribes despise us for what we have done and the demons are crafty."
The beast tribe Avrin could understand but from what he knew regarding demons, this seemed rather pointless considering their magical capabilities. The carriages had been prepared for several minutes and were already awaiting them.
3 carriages in total 1 for Tyrin and Gregson, 1 with several designs portraying roses and blades for Karina and her lieutenants and 1 for Avrin and Asura that didn't look too bad.
Asura frowned as he looked at it, "master I'm starting to hate traveling, it's boring and I want to fight..." Asura was starting to get frustrated. Fighting and combat was in the creature's soul and with this intelligence and power he was craving to show it off.
"I agree Asura, when things are settled we can head to a battlefield and improve ourselves for as long as we please." Gregson chuckled lightly as he spoke "lord Avrin with you and lord Asura on the battlefield I'm afraid there won't be many people left when you are done with them."
Avrin had a bit to do, he knew he had to visit the blacksmith in the central continent but that was only a hobby, his main focus was establishing himself first. As they separated, Tyrin was already inside the carriage. Gregson parted from Avrin who was making his way to his own carriage.
