I don't know how long it was before I found his warm breath in my ear again.
"We should... um... actually, just follow me."
My eyes widened and my body stiffened.
"Actually, I should-" I started to panic as images of girls locked up in basements flashed through my mind. He took my waist again.
"Come on." his cocky smile taunting me as he took my hand in his and pulled me toward the door.
The music had changed again and we moved past the gyrating bodies on the dance floor. Before we reach the door I stopped and took a small step back. He turned around to see what was going on. His eyes flooded with confusion when he saw my face.
"I... uh... I'm sorry." I stuttered.
His lips twitched slightly and his frown disappeared. He stepped toward me and cheesily tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. I watched him, not wanting to know how my face must look. He leaned down and wrapped his arms around me. At first I thought it was just an innocent hug 'goodbye' and my body was weak with relief. But suddenly my feet were no longer on the solid ground and I was clutching to his neck as he lifted me up into his arms and stepped through the door, walking away from the music.
"Whoa! Stop! Put me down!" I protested but his arms were like steel and I could feel his chest jump as he laughed.
"Just trust me." he cooed.
"Sure, trust the guy I met ten minutes ago because that only ever ends well." I said sarcastically, "I only know your name!"
"It was thirty minutes ago, plus, I don't even know your name." he countered as I blushed slightly and crossed my arms over my chest.
"And you will never know my name if you're planning on kidnapping me." I stated matter-of-factly.
He dropped his head toward my stomach then looked at me, some disappointment with a touch of shock in his sweet eyes.
"You think I'm trying to kidnap you?" He asked sadly as he stopped.
"Well, I don't know..." I said honestly, "You won't tell me where you're taking me and-"
"Just calm down!" He laughed again, "I'm not THAT kind of guy. I can assure you that I have the best of intentions."
The tone of his voice sent another rush of panic through my veins but his perfect smile kept my instincts from taking over.
"Fine." I put my arms around his neck, "But I will scream if you try anything." I threatened.
"Oh really?" he raised an eyebrow at me, "Then I will tread carefully." He added as he winked at me.
Oh. My. Gosh.
He took me to his car and placed me on the bonnet.
"I'll be right back." he whispered and gets inside.
I look around and realise it's a slick black Range Rover. Damn. I crossed my feet over each other and leaned back on the windscreen as soft music started playing behind me. I sat up and gasped.
"I love this song!"
He got out and sat down next to me, his eyes were like diamonds reflecting the moon.
"Well, who doesn't like Ed Sheeran?" he responded.
'True' I thought to myself. Luke was way too smooth. I mean, Ed Sheeran? It's dark, we're alone and sitting under the stars and he was playing Ed Sheeran. Talk about every girl's dream and I bet he knew that.
