The Complication

Cody POV

"Tiana my manager called me today." I hesitated how could I tell her, I have to do it. I blurted it all out "My manager wants me to move to LA for..." There was silence on the end of the phone. I called "Tiana? Hello? Where are you? Tiana?" Nothing, I hung up the phone. I ran into Alli's room, I said breathless "Can you call Tiana? She is ignoring me." Alli sighed and said "I told you not to tell her yet. It's only two months did you even tell her that?" I shouted "I didn't get time! You're no help!"

I ran to Tiana's house but she wasn't there. I went to Heather's house. I knocked on the door, she opened it and tried to shut it in my face. I forced it open. I said as calmly as I could "Please I need to explain to Tiana what is happening." She opened the door a tiny bit. I whispered I can get Justin Bieber to come her before I leave." She opened the door, and crossed her arms. She said quietly "Really?" I nodded, she replied "I'm listening." I stood calmly and said "I am going to LA BUT only for two months. After that I am back, for good." Heather smiled then whispered "I will tell her, then I will send her out." I nodded and waited outside. After five minutes Tiana walked out. She stood next to me, but didn't say anything. I broke the silence by saying "Did Heather tell you? She replied sharply "Yes and about your bribe." I turned towards her, and said softly "I will be back before you know it." she said calmly "I know it's just, I knew this would happen." She hugged me and held me tight. Tiana said "There is a summer barbecue tomorrow you can come if you want. We can turn it into a goodbye party, you can call Justin and get him on a private jet out here(!)" I laughed and said "It's not like that you know, but he will be here tomorrow." She smiled at me, I turned around and saw Heather looking through the window, she saw me and looked away like nothing was happening. Tiana smiled at me then said, "I gotta go to Bethy's house, you know with nationals surfing competition coming up I need to practise. You can come if you like. A one mile run to Bethy's house then back to mine, get my board and then surf. What do you say?" I nodded and starting running. Tiana shouted "Um Cody... Bethy's house is the other way." I spun around and ran the right way. She laughed at me. We ran to Bethy's house. Tiana was in front most of the way but it was level at the end. She knocked on Bethy's front door, Bethy walked straight out and we went to the beach. On the way home Bethy was in front with Tiana and I behind. Tiana ran to her back garden and grabbed two boards. When she came out she handed one to me. Then we surfed.

All of a sudden Tiana and I had got on the same wave. I moved closer to her, and jumped and tackled her into the sea, she screamed with laughter. We were under the water, and I grabbed her hand. Her her standing on ends but flowing with the sea like a mermaid, I can't imagine what mine looks like. I pulled her in closer to me and kissed her lightly on the lips. She smiled at me, and put her arms around my neck, I put my hands on her waist. I started to run out of air so w I held onto her and slowly we drift upwards. She put her head on my chest. Then I could breath, and so could she, suddenly she splashed me right in the face. I shouted "What was that for!" She said in a mouse tone. "That was a good wave." She looked away and got on her board and watched Bethy and cheered. Great, well done Cody you scared her again. I swam up to her and apologised. She smiled at me and did a quite good impression of me "I wasn't scared I was acting." She swam out to sea a bit, I joined her. The waves had died down a bit. She put her hand in the water, to feel the motion of the water. Then a big wave came, we both caught it. Tiana did amazing tricks then when she was about to wipeout she jumped towards me and pushed me off as she did she shouted "REVENGE!" We laughed at each other then went back to shore.

Bethy said goodbye and started running. I said "What time should I come tomorrow?" Tiana thought for a moment then said "4, so you can help me, Bethy and Joe set up..." I interrupted "Who's Joe?" She sighed "Don't worry he is Bethy's boyfriend." I relaxed a little. She said goodbye and ran, I chased after her. When I caught up I grabbed her and spun her round, she screamed. I put her down and kissed her on the cheek, I let go of her hand, I squeezed it gently and said "See you tomorrow." She nodded and walked home.

I arrived at 4 o'clock and they had a barbecue, about ten chairs and a mat. I walked up to Tiana and kissed her, I then asked "What's the mat for?" She laughed and said for dancing!" Joe put down the speakers he went up to Bethy and kissed her.
