"-said keep them safe! Not take them to a fucking party!"

I groan quietly, lifting my head and slowly blinking, looking aorund the familiar room.

When did I get home?

Wheres Phoebe?

I kick the blankets off, ignoring my tight lungs and sore body as I look around the room, before heading to the door and opening it.

Following the shouting down the hall, I stop in front of Mason's office and push the door open, taking in the scene in front of me.

The first thing I see is Mason.

Absolutely fuming

Diego and Kieran are both standing in front of him, eyes glued to the floor while Mason stands with his arms crossed, eyes set in a deadly glare as he stares at them. Gabe and Chris are standing behind Mason seeming tense, while Brody sits at the desk typing something up on the computer.

"I left you two here because I trusted you to keep things in order. Instead you take them to a party full of people we don't know- did you even stop to consider the fact that you were maybe being followed? Or maybe-"

"Mason!"

The entire room pauses and all attention shifts to me. Mason's immediately walking toward me, hands on my cheeks moving my head left to right more than likely checkikng for some type of injury.

"It was Phoebe and I's idea to go, so don't get angry at them. They went to keep us safe, and it's a miracle they were there to protect us." I say firmly, and he stills, narrowing his eyes.

"They knew better-"

"Would they say no to me?" I cut him off, narrowing my eyes back. He clenches his jaw, and I nod. "Exactly, they wouldn't. So if you're going to blame someone, blame me."

A low whistle sounds from behind us, and I look past Mason at Gabe, who's grinning.

"Man, Mason's getting chewed out. Never thought I'd see the day."

I clear my throat, shooting Gabe a look that immediately has his smile dropping before he proceeds to pout and cross his arms.

"Thank you, little boss." Kieran says with a tight smile, glancing at Mason before back at me. "But we should've been smarter. Especially with everything going on, we should've expected something like this."

"Didn't you guys handle the people that attacked us last time? Who is it this time?" I question, tilting my head curiously. Kieran furrows his eyebrows, scratching the back of his head and shrugging.

"Some new stalkers of ours. They've been pretty fucking direct with us lately, we should've-."

"Stalkers " I exclaim, turning to Mason with wide eyes. "And when was I going to be informed?"

Stalkers as in watching us and following us?

And did he say lately? So this has been going on for awhile?

I watch him shrug slowly, his jaw set tightly, and his eyes raise to the ceiling.

So, he waszn't going to tell me.

Great.

Just great.

Fantastic, even

Freaking marvelous.

"And they've been stalking for how long, exactly?" I ask no one in particular, crossing my arms over my chest and looking around at the guys.

Every single one of them look at Mason, who has yet to take his eyes off of me. He takes a slow deep breath, unclenching his fists that are hanging at his side, before running his right hand over his shaved head and shutting his eyes.
