Shizune grabbed Kurai by the throat and threw him into the ground. She then charged at him, grabbed him, and threw him upwards, before charging up at him again and punching a hole through his gut. It didn't hurt him at all.
"What the heck?" Shizune questioned, "Did I forget to tell you? I'm immortal now! You see, one of my special abilities of being Sakanade's original disciple is that whenever I die, and the person who kills me dies at the same time, I regain life and gain eternal life. It's a simple process that even a simpleton like Kurenai could understand. Now. DIE!" Kurai said, jumping away and sending a meteor attack towards Shizune. The attack seemed to have hit her, the explosion occurring. However, it went around Shizune.
The dust subsided, revealing a familiar face. Everyone's eyes widened except for Atem's. "He's finally here." Atem said, "I can't believe it! He came back!" Koneko said, her eyes tearing up, "Welcome back. Kurenai Kentamo." Atem said.
Kurenai stood in the air, staring at Kurai, "Tag out, Shizune. You've done enough. I'll handle the rest." He said, and Shizune backed out.
"Now, time for the final battle to commence." Kurenai said, bringing his hand up to his face and pulling it down, revealing his Mask.
"Mask! Awakening!"
