Chapter 97: The Truth Revealed

I think it's time we rewind our story. 15 years earlier from the events of Chapter 96, and approximately 2 hours after Kurenai Kentamo's death.

Kurenai Kentamo, the hero of Ultimate Continuation, someone who began his story as a young boy with little care for the destruction caused. Over time, he evolved into a man surrounded by friends and family.

He's went through suffering you couldn't imagine, and he couldn't do anything about it.

Kurenai awoke, but he wasn't in a familiar place. He found himself in the Black Veil, an eternal void of nothingness only existing to reveal a truth to someone or allow them to transcend into the position of one of the Three Gods.

Who are the Three Gods?

Ikikotamasu, the First God: Ruler of the Yūkon District of Reality.

Sakanade, the Second God: Ruler of the Entertainment District of Reality.

Kiba, the Third God: Ruler of the Shisko District of Reality.

However, this is subject to change.

As of current date, the Three Gods are:

Atem Kentamo, the First God: After defeating Ikikotamasu in an earlier part of the story, he became the First God, although he neglected this position.

Kiba Ishino, the Third God: This hasn't changed. Kiba, despite originally being a major villain, has been the Third God since his birth.

Now, who's the Second God?

Kurenai's eyes opened, and he saw a figure, watching over him. He swore he recognized the person.

"Who... who are you?" Kurenai asked the figure.

"My name is Jerad Norris... I'm your creator."

"My creator?"

"You must not remember. I'm not surprised. You are well aware you are my creation, although it's something I've written into your existence for you to not know unless prompted." Jerad explained to Kurenai.

"So, that means you wrote all of the events that have happened throughout my life. All the pain and suffering you've inflicted on me was for your own entertainment!?" Kurenai asked, clutching his fists tightly, his voice dripping with venom.

Jerad nodded.
Kurenai chuckled.

"I suppose I can't be mad, you DID give me life after all. I wouldn't know any of the people I love if you hadn't written my story. Thanks." Kurenai said, smiling slightly.

"You're welcome. Now, I think it's time to tell you the truth." Jerad said, his voice getting serious.

"The truth?" Kurenai asked.

"That's correct." Jerad nodded.

"Well, tell me." Kurenai said.

"Sakanade has retired as the Second God. You're dead, Kurenai. You aren't coming back this time... unless you accept my offer and become the Second God. Sakanade asked me to give you the offer, so I figured I'd ask." Jerad stated.

There was silence for multiple moments.

Then, Kurenai spoke up.

"Of course I'll take your offer. I can help everyone out when the time comes later on."

Light began to surround him, a red, fire-like aura enveloped him, shaping chains around his limbs. His hair went pure white once more, and his eye shone I bright red.

And then, Jerad vanished. Without a trace.

Not only was Kurenai permanently in his Gyukomashi Transformation, but he was also...
