I've decided to post this now even though it's only 12 minutes into Wednesday, well it is for me anyway. So hope you enjoy!
______________________Annabeth's POV
Just as I'm waking up in the hospital, I see my worst nightmare walk through the door. Rachel and her gang are scary, but Rob, he's the most frightening of them all, especially when he's mad, and he is mad.
"What do you think your doing?" Rob asks me impatiently.
"Oh, y'know, just chillin in a hospital bed for no apparent reason" I reply sarcastically.
I hear laughing off to my left side. I look over and see Percy Jackson sitting next to me. He shouldn't have laughed. Rob hates it while people laugh. He's got some kind of phobia against it, it's so weird.
Rob turns his attention to Percy. "And who do you think you are?" Rob rhetorically asks Percy. He doesn't want Percy to answer, Rob just asked so he can get mad at someone.
" Um... I'm Percy Jackson, sir" Percy told him unsurely.
Rob scoffs, "Your name isn't Percy. What kind of parent names there kid Percy? Is it short for something, because there is absolutely no way my daughter is gonna hang around someone named Percy for Petes sake"
I became extremely embarrassed by what Rob said and my face flushed red. I was actually surprised when Percy answers Rob's questions.
"To answer you questions," Percy said, "My father died before I was born, his name was Poseidon, and since that's a Greek name, my mom wanted my name to be Greek. So she named me after the Greek hero Perseus because he had the best luck out of all the Greek heroes."
I was speechless for a few minutes, and I could tell Rob was too.
When I finally found my voice I said, "You didn't have to tell him all that Percy," Then I turned to Rob and said, "And you, don't get a say in who I hang out with, especially not because you don't like their name""Who said you had the right to talk back to me like that?" Rob asked me angrily.
"I'm not talking back," I inform him, "I'm simply stately the facts."
"You are so gonna get it when we get home" Rob angrily informs me.
I felt all the color in my face leave, and I was terrified by what he wants to do to me. Percy kept looking backs and forth between Rob and I with a confused expression. Before he could say anything, though, a man and woman walk in. The man has black short hair. He was wearing black khakis and a light brown dress shirt that was tucked into his pants. The woman had shortish brown hair that barley reached her shoulders. She was wearing black dress pants and a dark purple shirt that was also tucked into her own shirt with a weirdish colored blazer over it.
"Hello Annabeth," The man says to me, "I'm Detective Amaro and my this is Sargent Benson. We got a call from your principle saying that you were assaulted by being beaten unconscious. Is that true?"
Before I could say anything, Rob took it upon himself to answer.
"My daughter was not assaulted in any way," Rob told them matter-a-factly, "I mean look at her," he pointed at me, "She's perfectly fine"
"Your daughter is clearly not fine, Mr. Chase, is it?" Sargent Benson sorta said sorta asked Rob.
"My last name is not Chase, it's Grail," Rob snapped, "Annabeth is my adopted daughter, so we don't share a last name!"
"So Annabeth isn't your biological daughter, and you think there's nothing wrong with her even though she's sitting in a hospital bed?" Detective Amaro asks suspiciously.
"Correct" Rob answers slowly.
Detective Amaro and Sargent Benson share a weird look with each other before Sargent Benson asks "Can we speak to Annabeth alone?"
"No," Rob immediately replies, "My daughter is in no trouble or is she harmed in any way, so I don't see any reason why I have to leave. If anyone should be leaving it should be the boy" Rob pointed at Percy when he said that last part.
"How about we let Annabeth choose who goes and who stays while we question her" Detective Amaro suggests looking at me.
I nod my head slowly in agreement. Rob looks at me in a way that I know what he wants me to do: let him stay in here, but I don't want him in here because I know he'll turn it all around on me saying it was my fault and that I'm just faking my injuries.
When I get enough courage to say what I want to say, I open my mouth and tell them. "I want Percy to stay and Rob to leave"
Rob looks at me furiously. "Why should I go if he's not gonna go?" Rob demands angrily.
"Percy was there, so I bet they want to know what he saw" I tell him. I'm in for it now, I just know it.
Rob looked at everyone in the room slowly, then through gritted teeth he said, "Fine, I'll go" and with at he walked out of the room.
After he leaves the Detective and Sargent get right down to business asking me about what happened this morning, so I told them every detail I could remember from this morning (aside from what happened with Rob, though). After I get done with my story they ask Percy about what he saw, and he told them everything that happened after I fell unconscious. When Percy and I both finish our stories, Sargent Benson and Detective Amaro tell me that they're gonna arrest Rachel's little gang as soon as possible. Then they get up and leave after the thanking both of us for our cooperation.
After they're gone Percy turns to me, and then he takes me by surprise and asks me a question no one has ever even cared for the answer. "Does Rob hit you?" He asks bluntly. I have no clue how to answer that. I'm not sure how I should answer that so I just go against my gut feeling. I open my mouth slowly then I reply to his question. I'll probably mistake this later but for right now, it's the right thing to do.

Ooh cliffhanger. What do you think she'll tell him? And did anyone notice that Detective Amaro and Sargent Benson are from a certain TV show. Can anyone guess which one?
Please comment and vote.
Do any of you think I'm going go fast with this story? Should I slow down a little bit? Please tell me what you think.
Next update will be next Wednesday, which is the 12 of August.
