This chapter is dedicated to SoWeFlew for the comment she (I'm assuming) left me on Ch. 31. I was having a bad day, and it made my day when I read it, so thank you so SO much for that.

Annabeth's POV

"The court date is set for March 1," Mr. Chiron informed me after school on Friday. "So, two weeks away."

I couldn't believe it. Two weeks. Two more weeks and I'll either be free from all of them, or it'll end very badly.

This week has gone by pretty fast. Both Percy and I are now caught up in all of our classes and understand, for the most part, everything that the teachers are trying to teach us. For me, the work that is assigned is getting easier and easier, for Percy too, but he still has the occasional trouble. I didn't receive much problems with anybody at school. I'm called 'liar' occasionally. I try not to let it hurt me.

Percy was sitting next to me, since we were sitting on the couch in the living room, and Mr. Chiron pulled up a chair from the kitchen table and is sat across from us. Percy's arm was around my shoulders, so I completely turned around and threw my arms around his neck; hugging him. His arms came around my waist, hugging me back just as tightly.

"You're almost there, Annabeth," Percy whispered to me, planting a small kiss on my forehead. "It's almost over."

I pulled back from the hug when Mr. Chiron awkwardly cleared his throat, reminding us that was still here.

"What are our chances of winning?" I ask hesitantly.

Mr. Chiron takes a moment before answering. "It's according how Mr. Dare plays it out."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, if he plays fair, than we have a good chance of winning. If he plays dirty, we have almost no chance of winning," Mr. Chiron told me with a sad sigh at the end.

I felt Percy tense beside me. "What happens if we loose?" He asks with a hard edge to his tone. I hate it when he uses that tone.

"They get to walk away with a mark on their records and, most likely, a restraining order,"

"A restraining order?" I question.

"Yes," Mr. Chiron nods his head. "Mr. Dare can do many things thanks to his power and his money, but the one thing he can't do is stop you from getting a restraining order against his daughter. Delaying justice like that is too obvious."

"And threatening a judge isn't very obvious?" Percy asks incredulously.

"No," Mr. Chiron denies. "Because they won't say anything unless they want to loose their job."

"That's messed up," Percy grumbled.

"Yeah," Mr. Chiron agrees. "It is."

Mr. Chiron glanced down at his watch, and his eyes widened. "Oh my! It's already five o'clock. I best be going."
