Annabeth's POV
I hear those voices of those two people trying to get into the warehouse. Maybe Rob brought friends? I frown, that's not right. I can make out two separate voices; male. Not just any male voices, teenage boy voices. I'd recognize one of the voices anywhere. I think back to the first day I heard that voice.
"It's almost time!! Mommy, it's almost time to go!!" My enthusiastic 5 year old self exclaims.
"The quicker you sit still the quicker I can finish your hair." Mommy tells me with a chuckle.
"But I can't sit still!" I tell her, "It's my first day of kindergarten."
Today is my first day of kindergarten and I can't wait. Mommy bought me a new dress and daddy bought me new shoes just for this day. My dress had black up and down the sides and the thick straps down through the middle is red plaid type thing. My new shoes are black ankle boots with little white gems on the one side.
"Calm down, honey," Mommy says, "I'm almost done." Mommy is putting my hair back in pigtails with little red bows at the end.
"There done!" She finally says.
"Yes!! I'm free!" I dramatically exclaim, getting down off the stool I was sitting on.I run to my room to get my brand new backpack Daddy bought me for school. It has The Mystery Gang on the front of it, with Scooby's face in the center of it.
I make my way to the kitchen, I already ate so now I'm just waiting on Mommy.
"Are you coming?!" I question rather loudly.
"Calm your horse, I'm coming." She laughs.
Mommy grabs her keys from a little dish on the table and says, "Let's go."
I skip/run as fast as I can all the way to the car and get into the owl themed booster seat.
When Mommy gets in she turns Radio Disney on so I can listen to music before school.
"Ooohhh, ooohhh!!! I LOVE this song!! Can you turn it up?!" I jump around in my seat and sing at the top of my lungs to one of my favorite songs ever: This Is Me by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas from the movie Camp Rock.
By the time This Is Me ends we pull into the school. I can't contain my excitement when Mommy opens my door to let me out. I jump up and down like a bunny all the way to the door of the kindergarten classroom.
I stop when a woman with a warm smile steps out.
"Hi, you must be Annabeth," She says happily, "I'm Mrs. Dodds and I'll be your teacher for the rest of the year.""Hi." I say shyly, trying to hide behind Mommy's leg. I'm usually not shy, but Mrs. Dodds smile is scaring me.
"Oh there's no need to be shy dear, I don't bite," She says with a small smile, "You can go sit down on the rug over there by the other kids while I talk to your mom."
I give Mommy a hug and we say our 'I love yous.'
I make my way over to the rug where Mrs. Dodds told me to go. I sit down and look who's sitting on both sides of me. On one side there's a girl with choppy brown hair and eyes that keep changing colors, never deciding on one cool.
On the other side of me there's a dark skinned girl with brown hair and gold colored eyes.
