Chapter 11

Leo

The following morning, I awoke to the sweet smell of pancakes and also the sound of little kids screaming the word "pancakes" in my ear. "Alright, but you can't eat the pancakes if I catch you!" I screamed, jumping out of bed. The kids squealed and ran off as I chased after them. 

I chased them all the way down to the kitchen where Calypso was standing there with a large plate of pancakes and a selection of assorted meats. "I've got ya!" I screamed, picking up Zoe and whirling her around in the air. She giggled and laughed as I. 

"Alright, time to eat and when you're done, we can go to the hospital and meet your baby sister!" she exclaimed. I looked up at her and grinned. "It's a girl?" I asked. Calypso nodded. "Percy called this morning. It took 12 hours but it's over now. We can visit whenever we are ready". 

I paused, "Are you sure you're ready to you know...". Calypso didn't say anything, she just set out a plate for Zoe. I nodded. I wasn't ready either. I felt envious of Percy and Annabeth, I didn't think it was fair that they had such a happy and loving family and we didn't. I was kicking myself for thinking this but it just wasn't fair. 

"Uncle Leo, can you sit next to me?" asked Charlie, patting the seat next to him. I nodded before grabbing a plate, stacking it high and sitting down. 

After lunch, we packed up all the kids belongings and went to the hospital. Percy met us in the parking lot. He helped us bring the luggage into his own car. "Want to go see your little sister?" asked Percy. The kids cheered as Percy picked the two of them up and turned to Calypso and I. 

"Want to see little Bianca?" he asked us. I looked at Calypso. She turned her head. I shook my head. "You go ahead, we'll see her soon. She should meet her siblings first" I said, wrapping my arm around Calypso. Percy nodded, understanding. "Well, uh, come whenever you're ready. She'd love to meet her aunt and uncle" he said with a smile. I waved them good bye and we got into our car. 

I sighed and looked at Calypso. She was quiet and stared out the window, clearly guilty we turned down Percy. "We'll go some other time" I said, putting the car in gear. "Mmm" she said softly. We drove home in silence. 

When we got home, neither one of us got out of the car, we just sat there staring at nothing in particular. "I want a baby" said Calypso, breaking the silence. "Me too" I replied. "Want to start now?" she asked. "Sure".

Calypso

"Ready to go?" I asked from the outside of our bathroom. Leo groaned from inside and I laughed. It had taken a long time to get him out of bed, and I was about 90% sure he was passed out on the bathroom floor right now. 

Today, we were going to Camp today. Leo needed to fix a few things at the Big House and he claimed that "he needed his sexy assistant".

"Leo, I'm coming in" I said, this time more stern. I heard shuffling in there before Leo popped his head through the doorway. "Ready" he said with a grin.
