Leo

It was nice going back to camp, everyone was there, including the hunters. When I finished all my work, all of us had gathered around for a campfire. We talked, roasted marshmellows, and sang all evening. They were celebrating the ending of the war against Kronos.

At some point in the night, Percy brought Bianca with him to meet the camp. "Ready?" I asked Calypso. She nodded, not even looking up at me. It had been a while, we had to meet her some time, why not now? We walked through the crowd forming around Percy. Just before we got there, I let go of Calypso's hand. I couldn't do it.

"I'm sorry, I'll be back soon" I whispered, kissing her then running before she could stop me. I was a coward. I ran through the now empty camp to the woods. I felt the flames begin to form so I headed straight towards the ocean just incase I couldn't extinguish myself.

When I got to the dunes, I stopped. A figure stood by the water. It was a girl, I could tell by her long black hair, flowing in the wind. She was tall, wearing battle armour with a bow and pack on her back. I recongized her as Thalia.

Slowly, I made my way over to her. When I got close enough, I saw that she was crying. "Thalia?" I whispered, taking a step forward. On instinct, she drew her bow in a matter of seconds. The tip of the arrow was just a few feet from my face and Thalia never missed.

I raised my hands above my head in surrender. "Woah! Hey! It's Leo!" I cried out in a desperate attempt not to have my face shot. "Gods" she muttered, lowering her bow and slinging it over her shoulder. She turned her head, wiping the tears off her face.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked quietly. It was a risky question, she wasn't exactly a touchy feely person and she was armed. Thalia took a breath. "Nothing" she huffed, crossing her arms and turning around, her back turned to me.

I chuckled "It's not nothing if you're crying. You can tell me" I pushed. I touched her shoulder. I felt her relax herself before she turned to face me. "I wasn't crying" she said shaking her head as she sat down in the sand. I nodded, sitting down next to her.

We sat in the wet sand in silence for a long moment. The waves washed up against our feet as we watched the sky display its colors going from blue to pink, to purple then red and orange until it went black, littered with shining stars that lit up the sky.

"Want to tell me whats going on? I can help" I said looking over to her. Thalia's eyes were looking at the ocean in front of us. "Well, I might not be able to help but I'm told I'm a great listener" I said trying to put on my kindest smile.

"Luke died today" she said, her voice breaking. This was the first time I had ever seen her this broken up about anything. She was normally the most bad ass bitch. Next to Annabeth, she was the most emotionless person I knew. Thalia was a trained assassin, she was part of the Hunters of Artemis.

"I know" I said, putting my arm around her shoulders, trying to be comforting. She rested her head on my shoulder. "Normally, I spend today with Annabeth but she's so busy with Bianca I didn't-" she began. "I get it" I said softly.

Thalia looked up at me and gasped. "Gods, I totally forgot. Forgive me, my problems must seem so stupid compared to yours" she said as if she had done something wrong. I shook my head. "Not at all. Just because I had something bad happen to mean doesn't change the fact that you also had something bad to you. There is no "who had it worse". We are simply two very screwed up people" I explained.

Thalia sighed, resting her head back on my shoulders. We remained silent for a few more moments before I said "I'm sorry about Luke". Thalia nodded. "I'm sorry about your baby". I nodded.

"Can I tell you a secret?" she asked. "Shoot, no pun intended" I said. Thalia rolled her eyes with a smile. "I'm thinking about quitting the huntresses" she confessed. I thought for a moment then nodded. "Why?" I asked curiously. She seemed taken aback by my question but answered anyway.

"I've been thinking about Annabeth and Percy, how they took their crappy lives and made it into something beautiful. I thought that if I continued to live as just a demigod, I'd suffer the same fact as Luke or so many others who had died before. I was a coward, I didn't want to die. I saw my chance as being a huntress. I'd be immortal and still do good. Percy and Annabeth proved me wrong. It is possible to be happy" she explained.

"You aren't a coward, you were just scared. Today I left my emotionally unstable wife to deal with possibly her worst nightmare alone because I didn't think I could handle it" I said. Thalia smiled. "Some husband you are" she scoffed. "I know, I could win an award" I said. Thalia laughed.

I hadn't noticed how beautiful she was until now. Normally, she had an all black, punk rock style, lots of spikes, chains, eyeliner, and leather. She had let her hair grow out, she wore less makeup and looked almost normal. She sky blue eyes sparkled in the night. She hair shined in the moon light.

"Leo" she whispered. "Yeah?" I replied. "I missed you" she said. I smiled. "I missed you too". Before I knew it, we were just a lips length apart. I couldn't stop myself, it just felt so natural. I tried to stop but I just let go. I was tired of fighting.

I closed my eyes and we kissed.

***Woah there. I see some problems arising! I should just change the cover of this book right now to Thalia and Leo! For all you Thaleo fans out there - you're welcome! Remember back before Calypso was even mentioned when everyone thought that Leo didn't have a love so they just paired him up with Thalia and then Calypso came and everyone jumped over to that boat. Bet you're pretty conflicted now eh? Okay so I hope you enjoyed this. Are you team Calypso or team Thalia? Don't try to make me go for a certain one, I already know who Leo is going to choose. I'll just leave you there on that little cliffhanger! I love you little demigods! -Izzy
