Thalia
"On the roof!" Leo screamedd from the drivers seat. I bolted to the ladder and unhatched the door, I climbed up, preparing myself. This was the first real battle I had been in since I became mortal again. I would have to remind myself to be careful.
Jason followed me, only to shoot into the sky. There, in front of was was a 30 foot cyclops. I had forgotten that not all cyclops were as friendly as Tyson. I pulled back an arrow, the wind in my face as we road down the moutnain pass.
The monster was throwing boulder after boulder, causing Leo to dodge each one so getting a decent shot off would be tough. When I finally got a shot, I sent one flying through the air, hitting the beast right in the eye. It roared in anger, throwing its arms around.
"Jason! Look out!" I screamed. With Jason in the air and the cyclops waving its hands all over the place, it was only a matter of time before he got hit. Jason dove, Leo sent a grappling hook at the beast, just before it hit the monster in its legs, Jason caught it and flew around its legs, wrapping them up.
The beast fell to the ground in a loud crash. I sent 4 more arrows as Festus spit fire onto the beast, reducing it to dust. "Yeehaw!" I heard Leo scream from inside. I laughed, I had forgotten how much fun this was, other than the whole life-or-death thing. There wasn't much action back in New Rome.
I climbed back inside the cabin. Leo put Festus back in control. He ran to me and wrapped his arms around me. "Haha! That was awesome" he exclaimed. "It sure was" I said hugging him tighter. Leo pulled away taken my face in his hands. "You were awesome" he said.
Before I knew it, our lips touched. I wrapped my arms around him as he kissed me. Sparks flew, it felt like a thousand fireworks went off in my head at once and now it was the beautiful display.
Suddenly, there was a thump from the roof of the RV. We both pulled away, both lunging in other directions. Jason climbed down the ladder with a big grin on his face. "Gods that was fun" he said. I laughed awkwardly, both Leo and I were blushing from our little moment.
"I cannot believe you rigged this RV up so it can shoot fire. Unbelieveable." Jason said, high fiving Leo. "I strive for unbelievable" LEo replied, winking at me. I blushed even more. I quickly turned my head so Jason wouldn't suspect anything.
"Well, I think we've driven long enough. How about a quick pit stop?" Leo asked. Jason and I nodded. It was time to get some lunch. We drove up to this little pizzaria in a small town. Leo let Jason and I off so we could find seats while he went to find a parking space for this monster.
"We're lucky we brought Leo" Jason said once we sat down. "Yeah, I think he'll be a great help" I said. "You and Leo getting pretty close I've seen" he said wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. I scoffed. "He's just a friend" I said, looking down at the table. Jason chuckled. "Yeah, a friend" he said rolling his eyes.
"Oh shut up" I said punching his shoulder. "Ouch!" he exclaimed, rubbing his shoulder like a wuss. "Thats my bad one. If you're going to hit me at least even it out" he said, sounding like a child. I laughed. "Where's the fun in that?" I asked.
"Have y'all ordered yet?" asked Leo as he walked up to us. His face was full of worry as he got closer. I shook my head. "We weren't going to without you, calm down" I said scooting over so Leo could sit next to me.
"Good because we got to leave" he said, his eyes going wide. "Gods what now?" asked Jason. "Empousa, a whole group of them outside" Leo whispered, eyeing the door. "My sword is in the RV" exclaimed Jason as we edged towards the door, "As is my bow" I added. Leo looked back at us. "So it's just my flames and good looks?" he said. I fought back a smile, even in the face of almost certain death, he was able to make us laugh.
