Thalia

Piper knew about Leo and I. It had been over a year since Calypso died. Leo would call for me every now and again, normally just so he wouldn't have to be alone. He would usually be drunk but then again, so would I. I knew I couldn't hide it from her forever so I confessed but she claimed to have known before it even started.

"Why didn't you say anything?" I asked, confused. You'd think she'd want us to do the right thing and come out with it to the rest of the camp. She was always so rightous, I'd assume she'd want us to be honest about it all.

"It wasn't my place to judge you on who you love" she said innocently. "I don't love him" I scoffed. Piper smiled. "Whatever you say" she said. I shifted uncomfortably. "Hypothetically speaking, if I did love him, which I don't, is the feeling mutual?" I asked, unsure if I really wanted the answer.

Piper pursed her lips. "I'm not at liberty to say" she said, averting eye contact. She had forgotten I was a hunter, I'm trained in the art of interrogation. "This is hypothetical of course, I just want to know incase I hurt him even more since, well, you know" I trailed off, playing on her guilty side.

She sighed, giving in. "It's mutual, it has been since that night on the beach" she said quickly, as if reveiling a dirty secret. "Wait, how do you know about that?" I asked both pleased to hear what she had said but also creeped out.

"I cannot reveil my sources" she said, zipping her lips. "Okay, well thanks. I should go, I need to go. I have a meeting with Chiron" I said, standing up. "We'll talk later. Come by for dinner will you? Jason misses having you around, as does Chris" said Piper.

She followed me out of the little coffee shop where we would meet up for dinner. We would usually bring Annabeth and Hazel but both were busy. I bid Piper goodbye before hopping on my motorcycle and heading over to camp.

Upon my arrival, I parked outside where Jason was standing against the doorway, waiting for me. I took off my helmet, letting my long silky black hair spill down my shoulders and back. "Morning" Jason said, walking over to me. I smiled, hugging him.

"Any idea what this is about?" I asked. Jason shook his head. Jason and I, despite being siblings, looked completely different. He was tall with blonde hair while I was shorter with black hair.

Our powers were different as well, he could fly and I couldn't (technically I could but due to my crippling fear of heights, that wasn't the brightest idea). He could control static electricity but I was much more powerful when it came to that. I could hail lightning bolts from the sky and could bend the electricity in a house or object to my will. Came in handy when I lost the remote. Jason could bring massive tornados where I could bend the mist to my will, causing people to see things differently.

We walked side by side into the Big House where Chiron was waiting for us. When we got inside, we both stopped in our tracks. Zues, king of the gods, our father was standing right in front of us.

"Father" I said, gripping my knife on instict. We weren't exactly on the best of terms right now. "Hello children, sit" he said, gesturing at the chairs. Jason went for it but I grabbed his arms stopping him.

"I'll stand thank you" I replied, no eager to have a discussion with him. "I-I will too" said Jason. Poor boy looked so lost but I knew he'd side with me.

"Very well, Chiron, would you care to kick things off for us?" Zues said looking at Chiron with pleading eyes. Good, Zues was scared of me, as he should be. "There was a prophecy, the fates showed it to Zues last night" Chiron took a piece of paper from his pocket and pulled out his reading glasses.

"Through winters stormy night

A woman so full of fear and fright

Trades the child to her queen

Ruins a family to be

Fight the inner monsters again

To bring peace and closure for friends"

Zues bowed his head. I gulped. "Its about when mom traded Jason to Hera. It was supposed to be for peace but it just made things worse. It ruined our family" I growled. Jason put hi hand on my shoulder. "What do we do?" he asked.

Zues stepped forward. "I believe you need to go back to the family home, go through everything and then you will find peace". I scoffed. "I'm just fine thank you". Chiron frowned. "It is a prophecy Thalia, the fates have declared it and you can't run from it. You'll go on this quest. You leave tomorrow. Take only supplies, money and your weapons. There is no debating this" he said sternly.

I shook off Jason's hand and stormed out the door. Jason ran after me and cornered me so I couldn't get on my bike. "Thalia listen. You may not want this but I do. I need to have some peace and if going on this quest means that I can get that, then dammit I'm going, with or without you" he said.

I sighed. "Jason, you don't know what you're going to find. What if you uncover something that makes things worse?" I asked. Jason just shook his head. "I'm going, I just need to know if you're with me" he asked holding out his hand.

I couldn't face my past, it was too painful. I was fine not knowing anything more about my mother than I already do. but if this is what Jason wants, what kind of sister would I be if I just let him go alone?.

I took his hand. "Fine" I grumbled. Jason grinned. "Lets get back in there, we'll work it out from there".
