"Hey, Luke. I dare you to jump in the pool fully clothed," Calum randomly says after a minute of silence between us.
It was your average day for us, we were just sitting around outside doing absolutely nothing. We had no place exciting to go, and we had absolutely nothing to do. Chilling by the side of Luke's uncle's pool in lawn chairs while eating pretzels and goldfish was the best we could come up with. Pretty exciting life huh?
"What are the odds," I laugh, hoping Luke would catch on to the game, which thankfully he did.
I look over at him and a small smirk forms on his face, "out of 7."
"Oh, someone's feeling a little daring today," I look over at him, amused. I prepare myself for the ultimate guess, the one that will decide if he jumps into the pool fully clothed, or I do.
"Ready, 1..2..3..," I begin the count down and at the same time we both say "6"
"Fuck," he mumbles, but Calum, Michael, and I laugh. How I did that, I have no idea, but hey, I'm not complaining!
"You gotta do it man," Michael laughs, and I look at Luke as he just gives us this look of 'I can't believe I have to do this.'
He slowly stands up, stops and stares back at us, shaking his head, then he takes a deep breath.
I mean, I'd pullout my phone to record this but Michael's got it.
He shakes his head again, facing the small oddly shaped pool and runs for it, taking a huge leap before landing inside the pool, water splashing everywhere.
He comes up for air, shaking his head to get the water off and is laughing like the rest of us.
"Happy?" He laughs, standing up from the bottom of the pool, half his torso sticking out, and his wet shirt sticking to his body.
"Very," I burst in hysterics. The fact that he actually did it makes my day.
Calum stands up and walks closer to Luke, and I decide to follow, and maybe tease Luke a little bit.
"You know, you guys should join. The water feels fine," Luke smiles, splashing a little water at Calum and I.
"Maybe some other time," I call out to him, but he just smiled at me like he had other plans.
Calum suddenly turned around, and swooped me up bridal style.
"Calum, no!" I scream, trying to wiggle free from him, even though I knew there was no use. Have you seen how strong he is? There isn't anyway I'm going to get free.
Instead i brace myself for impact as he tosses me into the pool, fully clothed and fortunately phoneless.
The pool was cold, a bit shocking at first, but Luke was right, it did feel nice.
I come up for air to see Luke laughing his ass off, and Calum just standing there proudly, and of corse Michael was still seated in his chair, watching by and probably recording this entire thing.
"Fuck you," I laugh at Calum and Luke who somehow had this telepathic connection for a moment to throw me in a pool.
Out of no where Michael swoops in, pushing Calum straight into the pool, but Calum was quick enough to react to hold onto him, pulling him too.
Well now the whole gang is here!
I stand there laughing watching as Michael and Calum come up for air.
"You're lucky I had a case on my phone, otherwise you would've been dead," Michael shakes his head, taking his phone from his hand and putting it on the side of the pool.
