"Well look who's up?" I hear Janelle laugh as I groggily walk into the living room.

I look to see her sitting on the couch with the remote at hand and flipping through the channels.

"Where's Ashton?" I ask, still trying to remember where I am. It was a long night and a kind of long sleep.

"His car was having problems this morning so he had to go take it in to get fixed. He said he's gonna be there a while," she said to me, then tapped the cushion next to her, motioning for me to sit down. I hesitantly walked over and sat.

"So, since he's gonna be gone a while, I figured we could go get lunch or something. I haven't quite gotten to know you yet, and I'd love to get to know my boyfriend's half-sister" she smiled sweetly at me.

"Sister," I corrected her, "I'm his sister."

"Right," she awkwardly said, looking back at the episode of cupcake wars.

"So, lunch?" She asked again after a minute of silence.

I don't think I can get out of this. I'm just not in the mood, plus I've never actually really hung out with just a girl and I before. I've always gotten along better with guys. But if I don't go, who knows how it'll play out.

"I guess," I sigh and she cheers.

"I'll go shower then. This is gonna be fun!" She quests and runs back upstairs. I sigh and slump into the couch. You couldn't have taken her with you could you have, ash.

Of corse, lunch with Janelle meant I had to drive us, but I'm just not in the mood today. I can't stop thinking about Luke. I feel so guilty for what I did to him, and I didn't wake up to any good morning text from him, but I don't blame him.

I pull into the parking lot of chipotle (judge me) and park the car. I slowly trudge from the car to the inside of the food place where seemed to be a bit packed for a Thursday afternoon. Janelle and I ordered our food and we sat down at a small table that had just opened up. All of it was done through silence.

"So," she breaks the awkward silence between us. I take another bite of my delicious food and look up at her, "how are you? You seem a bit off today."

"I'm okay," I shrug my shoulders, picking through my food. I don't know why I ordered it. I'm not very hungry.

"Just okay?" She asked, taking a sip from her coke after.

"Yeah," I shrug, my eyes still focused on the barely touched food.

"Is it about Luke?" She asks and I couldn't help but look up at her, and she gave a slight smirk, likes she's proud she got it right. I looked back down at my food.

"Well, you two are broken up, so what could be the problem?"

I see Ashton told her.

"Oh, one of you wants to get back together but the other doesn't," she says, and she's half right.

"Let me guess, it's Luke who wants to get back together with you, but you don't want to," ding ding ding!

I sat there still, in silence. I mean, I don't even know what to say? I just don't feel comfortable talking to her about this.

"Well, in all honestly, I think you would look better with calum. I mean, have you seen the way he looks at you? I just adore it. And he's just so sweet and you two get alo-"

"Can we please not talk about this," I snapped as politely as I could.

"Well, I'm just saying. Luke isn't all the great, plus calum looks waaaay better," she says and I couldn't take it anymore.
