~December 2014, 4 months after Luke and Alice met~"Hey, Al! You're getting a call!" I hear Michael shout from my living room.
I quickly run to meet him in the living room and find Michael busy away at his game, and my phone buzzing on the couch.
"Hello?" I pant. who knew running from the kitchen could be so tiring? Man I need to work out.
"Alice?" I hear that familiar foreign voice that I've really grown to love.
"Oh, hi Luke!" I smile, even though he can't see me, and I look over towards Michael who I can tell is listening in on the conversation.
"Um, what are you doing on Friday?" He asks, and his voice sounds a but like he's nervous.
"Um, I was probably just gonna sit home and hang out with Michael, why?" I take a seat on the love seat, swinging my feet over the arm rest.
"Well, I was wondering if you would like to go with me to this little Christmas festival that's going on in town on Friday," he says to me and I feel my heart leap into my throat. Is this what I think it is?
"Luke Hemmings, are you asking me on a date?" I say, and the words just sound so unreal to say. One, he's asking me on a date, something you hardly see nowadays; two, he's asKING ME ON A DATE.
But that word also made Michael's head snap in my direction, turning his focus away from his game and killing his character.
"It's about fucking time," he muttered and I just put a finger up to my lip to shush him.
"Well, that was the plan," he laughed nervously, "unless you don't want it to be a date, then we can invite calum and Michael along."
"I think a date with you sounds wonderful," I say, a full fledged smile on my face.
"I'll see you on Friday then. Say around 7?"
"Sounds good! I look forward to it," I say and then hang up, and don't even hesitate to scream out of joy.
"My little girl's got a date, aw," Michael laughs as I walk over to him.
"He finally asked me out," I bring my hand up and put them on either side of his cheeks, then squish his face.
"And I'm happy for you! Where are you guys going?" Michael asks me, his attention slowly turning back towards the game.
"That little Christmas festival a few blocks away. You know the one we used to go to?" I say, and he nods, smiling.
I can't believe it, "what a great day," I sigh and flop back on the couch. I wonder how it will go.
**"Man, I haven't been here in years," I sighed out of joy. I remember Michael and I would come here with our moms and we would play in the fake snow for hours and when we got really tired, we would go get hot chocolate and look at all the house lights.
"I've never been here, so it's ok, we're practically on the same boat," Luke says to me and I laugh. This kid really loves wearing black- not that he looks bad in it though. He wore his usual black skinny jeans, black vans, a black jacket, but plot twist, he wore a white shirt and a grey beanie. Isn't he just so in the Christmas spirit?
I'm just kidding, I'm not doing much better.
"Look! Snow!" I say, pointing the little area set up for kids to play in the "snow." Does kid at heart count?
I grab Luke's hand and pull him into the area. You see, I've never actually seen real snow (my mom is lame) so seeing this was amazing.
"You know what you do in snow right?" Luke looks over at me, a smirk on his face.
