"Luke, wait!" I close the door behind me and run to catch up to Luke who was storming down my driveway to leave.

"Why should I" he replied annoyed and upset with me.

"Because it's not what you think," I ran ahead of him and stood in front of the door to his car.

"I would like to leave," a frown rested upon his face and I couldn't help but feel even worse for forgetting.

"Not until you let me speak," I stubbornly said. I leaned against the door and crossed my arms, firmly standing my ground.

He stared at me for a second, key in his hand, ready to unlock the door. He sighed in frustration and then stepped back.

"Calum got into an accident right as I was leaving the house to go to the park and he called me because he was panicking," I said to him, but was confused when there was no change in his facial expression.

"Of corse," Luke rolled his eyes and a flush of anger ran over me. Is he seriously going to be like this?

"Dick," I muttered, causing him to finally look at me.

"What?" He snapped.

"You heard me," I looked up at him in disgust. Memories of us fighting like this flashed back into my mind. This wouldn't be the first time, sad to say.

"How am I a dick?" He took a step closer toward me, making my heart leap in fright, but I wasn't about to show him that.

"Your best friend just got into an accident and the only thing on your mind is 'oh, how convenient. He would interrupt my plans.'" I mocked Luke's voice, although it sounded nothing like him.

"Of corse I care about Calum and whether he's ok or not," Luke huffed in disbelief.

"Sure doesn't seem like it," I muttered, rolling my eyes. I lifted my back up from his car and moved away from it.

"What?" He asked, genuine about not hearing what I said.

"Nothing," I mumbled again, "just leave, like you always seem to do."

I turned around and began to walk up my driveway, but I only made it a few steps before I felt his hand grab mine, jerking me his way.

I tuned around, looking at his hand gripping mine, but not so tight that it hurt, but just enough to hold on securely. I looked up to meet his eyes that were no longer filled with anger. "Hey, that's not fair," he quietly said.

"I know," I mumbled, looking down at my torn up vans. I see Luke's black converse step closer towards me, leaving inches apart from our feet.

"Al," I hear him say, but I don't look up. I take my hand away and step back. "Just leave," I say to him.

He sighs, but doesn't budge for a few more seconds. I take initiative and turn around and start to walk away, not bothering to look behind me before walking inside.

"Is everything alright?" Calum asked, ice pack still held to his head.

I nod, "yeah. Luke's just being Luke."

"Don't worry child, come join us," Michael patted the seat in between him and Calum, and I gladly obliged, sitting next to him.

"What are we watching?" I ask, but my question is answered as I see the title Cars flash across the screen.

"Your favorite movie," Calum chuckled, getting comfy in his seat.

I tried desperately to focus on the movie, but I couldn't help but think about Luke. I feel terrible for just telling him to leave, but he was being a dick. I hate being around him when he's like that. It just frustrates me.

"Hey, Al. You alright?" I hear Michael ask cautiously.

"What?" I ask, escaping my thoughts.

"You ok?" He asks again, this time sounding amused. I nod, confused. He points to my hand and that's when I see my hand, digging into the arm cushion. I lift my hand up, but the fingernail impressions still remains.

"I'm gonna get a drink. Do you guys want anything?" I stand up and start making my way towards the kitchen. Michael and Calum both nod, asking for whatever I have.

I walked in and grab 3 glasses from the cabinet. I walk over to the fridge, placing my hand on
the handle but stop myself when I see a picture of Ashton and I when we were younger.

"I should probably call him soon," I purse my lips together, and just as if the heavens had heard me, I feel a vibration from my pocket. I grab my phone and the caller ID read Ashton.

"Hello," I answer cheerfully. I pull back the door of the fridge and grab the apple juice sitting on the first shelf.

"Hey, sis. How's it going?" He asks. I hear noise within the background, but it sounds like he's fiddling with something.

"I've had better days, how are you?" I ask him. I poor the drink equally into the cups before resting it back on the counter.

"Cramming in those studies, you know," he laughs, and I can't help but smile. I miss his laugh, it warms my heart.

"A lot of work already?" I chuckle. I lean against the counter and just stare at the tiled floor.

"No, not really  actually. Just procrastination," I can picture him just shrugging, acting like its no big deal.

"You would think you'd learn better," I laugh. I turn around and balance the phone between my ear and shoulder. I balanced the glasses between each other and picked them up, concentrating on not tripping.

"You've got a guest," Michael moves his head towards the door. Through the window, I see Luke walking back up the driveway, this time with flowers in his hand.

I hand the glasses to them, and place the last glass on the coffee table.

"Hey ash, can I call you back?" I ask quickly. I walk to meet Luke over at the door.

"Uh, yeah sure," he says confused.

"Love you," I say quickly, and I hear him mumble it back before the line went dead.

I stand at the door, and open up to a very remorseful looking Luke.

He held out a small bouquet of flowers towards me. "I'm sorry."
