I led Dirk to my room, making sure to avoid any awkward run ins. How would I even begin to explain sneaking a boy into my room. We silently made it up the stairs as Bec attacked me, tackling me and licking my face frantically. I laughed, trying to push him off and I felt Dirks intense gaze on me yet again. I finally got back up, wiping some dirt off myself. I gave a apologetic smile to Dirk and he giggled. I blushed a bit. What a cute laugh.
"Sorry about Bec heh, he's a very. . . Enthusiastic boy." I said as Bec jumped on me as I petted him.
"It's fine Jake, I think its adorable how you like animals." I suddenly got very shy, running a quick hand through my hair. He called me adorable. I looked back at him, noticing he looked a bit flustered himself. There was a light blush on his face. Why is he blushing? I opened the door to my room, apologizing for the mess. I sat on my bed and watched as Dirk walked around slowly, observing my room. I wondered what he thought. .
"Nice room you got here Jake." He said, admiring the two pistols hanging from their halters hanging on my wall. I smiled, happy he liked it.
"I use those for practice. I would hunt but I'm not exactly a hunting type." I said as he nodded his understanding. He moved around my room once again, stopping suddenly to turn to me.
"So Jake, what do you want to take?" He asked, a note of impliance in his tone. Oh right I was supposed to be packing. . .I guess he distracted me.
"Oh right, of course! I'll get all of it chap, you can wait while I get myself prepped." I said, managing a smile. He smirked a reply as I grabbed a bag and began putting clothes in. I didn't grab much, also being sure to pack my toothbrush and whatever else I thought I'd need. I imagined to myself what color his eyes were as I did this. Blue? Hazel? Brown?? Grey? They can't be too strange. . Could they? I wonder why he hides them. I zipped the bag as I felt his presence near. A small fluttery feeling danced in my stomach.
"You done yet?" The question itself was simple. His closeness was the thing that made me hesitant.
"I'm all set." I replied, hiding my face yet again as I put the bag straps over my broad shoulders. Why does he have to be so alluring to me?
"Alright let's go." He said, walking towards the door. A part of me was tempted to grab his hand, to make him stay with me. Jake, you're torturing yourself. . .I followed behind, that feeling growing every second we were close. This feeling won't go away. It'll only get stronger. The more you spend time with him, the more you'll want more. You need to tell him.. . . Maybe not right now. But please. Don't break your own heart. These thoughts stayed at the back of my mind as I understood I was slowly falling for him. . .
