Charlie was a little afraid at this behavior, so he asked: "Why should I say something like that?!"

Angel Godarzi said: "Think, Charlie. You went to prison five years ago because of your lawyer's incompetence. He was a fool who didn't know how he needed to put pressure on the police to make a case take longer. Do you really want to go back to prison?"

Charlie honestly said: "No."

Angel brought his mouth close to Charlie's ear and continued: "Just remember, you are out on parole. If this Major gets your case sent to court without any defect, life imprisonment is the least punishment for you. Certainly you don't want that, do you?"

Charlie shook his head in fear.

Mr. Godarzi continued: "Now listen carefully! You need to deny everything you've said up to now. Your reason will be psychological stress. When the major comes you will confirm everything I've told you."

Then with a slow whisper he said: "No matter if it was truth or a lie!"

Charlie sputtered: "No matter if it was truth or a lie?!"

But before he got his answer, Mr. Godarzi who heard the major's footsteps stood straight. He made a calm face and when Rasoli came into the interrogation room with cordiality he said: "Oh, Major you're back? Fine! I was just saying to Mr. Arman that we should be prepared for interrogation."

Mr. Rasoli ignored him. When he entered the interrogation room the door closed behind him.

Angel stood beside of him, making Charlie think he was more a bodyguard than a lawyer!

Mr. Rasoli before sitting behind the desk said to Mr. Godarzi: "We know each other from last year. I remember last year you were Mr. Artimani's lawyer."

Angel immediately said: "Working for Mr. Artimani is a great honor." He sounded like a servant.

Major Rasoli said: "When you were talking with your client my colleagues told me you are still Mr. Artimani's lawyer, in fact."

Mr. Godarzi answered: "Yes, I'm the head of his legal team! I think you know the needs of the twenty-seventh richest man in the world can't be resolved with just one or two lawyers."

Mr. Rasoli raised his brows and whispered under his breath: "Twenty-seventh richest man in the world!"

Charlie and Angel Godarzi heard his voice but they didn't talk.

Mr. Rasoli continued: "Well, then you should know where is Christopher Artimani now? We just received a fax from the Turkish police that confirmed Christopher went to the United States yesterday."

With an expectant face he stared at Mr. Godarzi and waited for an answer.

Mr. Godarzi said: "Am I right in thinking Christopher Artimani is not a suspect now, Major?"

"Yes, that's right."

"Well, that a free man who is even not a police suspect is traveling shouldn't surprise the police. However, to answering all the doubts about the grandson of Mr. Artimani I will answer your question. Christopher is a special boy and because of his grandfather's extreme wealth can do anything without his grandfather's permission. He can even use his private jet without permission. Mr. Artimani loves his grandson, and certainly using a jet doesn't have any significance for him. Christopher had said to his grandfather that he wanted to go to Turkey for his vacation, but he didn't say anything about the details of the trip to Mr. Artimani. So when he arrived at Istanbul airport he went to New York with his grandfather's private jet.

"Why did he go to the US?"

Mr. Rasoli asked.

Mr. Godarzi tried to answer cheerfully: "To visit his mother. Christopher's mother lives in the US, you know. There is a family dispute between them, and I think Christopher was thinking if he said anything about his trip to his grandfather he would forbid him from going."

Mr. Godarzi clear his throat and continued: "I hope my explanations have cleared any suspicion from the Artimani family, Major."

Major Rasoli nodded and said: "If Christopher Artimani's trip was important for us that was because of your client's speech, counselor."

Mr. Godarzi flashed a smile and said: "My client has something to tell you."

As he spoke he shot an angry look to Charlie, prompting him to speak. But Charlie had drifted away during their conversion and with confusion said: "What should I say?"
