But after an angry look from Charlie's lawyer he forgot what he had said and with a friendly voice said: "Uh...shall we go?"

Officer Naderi spoke very carefully, as if he needed permission for his speaking from Mr. Godarzi!

Angel Godarzi left the interrogation room with satisfaction. Behind him Charlie and Officer Naderi left the room too. Charlie carried the yellow diary in his hand. After passing two not too long corridors they arrived at the gray door of Charlie's cell. Charlie was smiling along the way although Officer Naderi ignored him and his laugh, but Charlie was really giving thanks to his god.

His smile was not because of the superficial victory of his lawyer against Mr. Rasoli; in fact, he was smiling because he thought he might not go to the court or even stay in prison!

This thought gave him hope. From Charlie's point of view everything could be done without prison and court! After Officer Naderi opened the cell door, Angel frantically skimmed the room and said: "Well, everything looks good here."

And as he brought his mouth close to Charlie's ear without attention to Officer Naderi he whispered: "I hope everything goes well at night."

Charlie didn't understand his meaning. Did he have any purpose behind his sentence? Or did he just say it because of what happened in the interrogation room? Paying no mind to Charlie's confusion, Angel just nodded and with an authoritative tone said to Officer Naderi: "You may do your duty, guard."

Naderi stared daggers at Angel. It seemed he wanted to tell him "You are not my commander!" But when he saw his daggers didn't have any effect on Mr. Godarzi, he forget about the objection. When Charlie entered the cell, he closed the cell door with a little anger.

When Charlie found himself alone in his cell he took a deep breath and whispered under his breath: "Oh, poor major! If Angel had been my lawyer five years ago certainly he would go to the lunatic asylum himself!"

He uncontrollably laughed, trying to imagine Mr. Rasoli's face when he was in the lunatic asylum and they treated with him like an inmate! He couldn't stop his laughing. It took a few moments until he could wipe away his tears and control his smile.

After he calmed himself he noticed the yellow diary in his hand. It was a little heavy. He sat on the edge of the bed and looked at diary closely. It seemed a little old. Maybe in Charlie's estimation it had been four or five years since the owner of diary had used it. But before he could open it he realized there were a lot of small pieces of paper at the end of each part of diary. It seemed its owner had put them there to find faster some special part of it. Charlie was interested to have look at the pages, and finally he did it and opened the diary. When he opened the diary he looked at the paper that was attached with adhesive.

On the paper he saw unfamiliar handwriting that said: "

Hello.

I didn't ever think one day I would do this job. When I heard about your arrest and Debra told me about it, I felt it was best to show you the facts. Some facts you've never tried to realize. I'm sorry, Charlie, but I don't like sharing others' blame with me. My only request is that you just read and follow some pages that I marked. I just hope you will not be angry because of my sister. She was compelled.

Samuel."

Charlie with wonder said: "Compelled?"

He saw the name of Samuel, Debra's little brother, under the text but he didn't realize what Samuel could have meant by writing and sending this diary and by his last sentences. But his curiosity persuaded him to understand Samuel's meaning very well! He should follow the marked papers in the diary. The first bookmark was four pages over. He took out the paper but it was blank. He looked at the page text of the diary. The handwriting seemed familiar for him this time.

Yes! He knew well Debra's handwriting! Her handwriting was clear on the pages of the yellow diary. He couldn't stop his curiosity and read:
