Charlie yawned, unwished. The major looked him as if he thought Charlie was exaggerating.

Charlie said: "I want to see my mom before I rest."

Mr. Godarzi quickly said: "You still haven't seen her?!"

But before he could continue Mr. Godarzi said: "Please, Mr. Lawyer! Don't exaggerate. His mom and girlfriend will come here for a meeting and their own interrogation today. You can also be in on all of the interrogations."

But before Angel could say anything, Charlie asked: "Interrogation? My mom and Debra? Because of what?"

Mr. Rasoli answered: "Just for asking a few questions. It's nothing really important."

Everything had gone well for Angel Godarzi in the interrogation session. Generously, he said: "Very good. But it would be better if Charlie had an examination before seeing his mother and his girlfriend. I think he has this right."

This sentence make Charlie very angry. If the lawyer hadn't spoken with him before the interrogation he would have believed Angel wanted to treat him like an inmate!

Mr. Rasoli nodded. In fact, all three people looked satisfied at the end of this debate. But Charlie could see a winning smile on Angel Godarzi's face. It seemed someone should write another victory for him against Major Rasoli in his professional work history!

Mr. Rasoli also noticed this smile but he didn't care about that. He stood in front of camera. But this time he didn't say any word and someone who was control the camera didn't wait for any word and opened the door. At first the major left the room but a few seconds later, Officer Naderi entered the room. Rasoli darted his eyes to Charlie. Naderi without any delay understood his major's meaning. He took the handcuffs from his belt. But when he stepped toward Charlie, Mr. Godarzi like a compassionate and devoted mother stopped him and, frightened, shouted: "Oh my god! Handcuffs?! It's against the rules. My client has a background in mental illness. It makes him terrified."

Officer Naderi took a step back, frightened by Mr. Godarzi's shout. Angel hugged Charlie quickly and whispered: "Don't be afraid, my son. You don't need to look at the handcuffs."

He looked like he was looking to Charlie for his line, and like a professional actor continued: "Charlie, look at me. You don't need to be scared of these handcuffs. Can you understand, my dear?!"

Charlie understood Angel's meaning from the angry red face of major Rasoli, and to make him angrier he emoted: "But I'm afraid of the handcuffs!"

But Charlie couldn't play the role like Angel and said his line clumsily. That was enough for a brainy man like Angel to make the major angrier, so he said: "But you shouldn't be afraid. It's just a piece of metal. Police make our society safer. So there is no reason to be afraid, my son!"

The implications of Mr. Godarzi's words sat in the heart of the major like poison arrows. His angry face was really interesting. Charlie understood from his skilled and brainy lawyer that he should continue to play this role. But he wasn't able to stay in character any more, so he finished it very fast and said: "I'll try to not be afraid anymore!"

He couldn't continue this charade any more if he wished. In fact, he just wanted to lie on the floor and laugh in Mr. Godarzi's face like a crazy person!

Mr. Rasoli just stared at the faces of Angel and Charlie, astonished. Angel said "my son" loud to make him angry and surprised. Although Charlie thought if Angel really had a son, he would never say these words with this much feeling!

Mr. Godarzi took a step back from Charlie. His face seemed not very happy. Maybe he was trying to say with his eyes to Charlie: "You ended it too early."

However, he picked up his lea the bag beside the table and said to Major Rasoli: "If it's possible I would like to see Charlie's cell closely. I want to be sure everything is in the standard model."

His last dagger flew into the tired body of Mr. Rasoli. Finally he lost his temper. Angrily, he said to Officer Naderi: "Take them there... now."

And after he said this he left the room like a gunshot. He had had a really bad time there, and for a moment Charlie felt bad for him. The evil smile came to Angel's lips. With a wicked whisper he said to Charlie: "I don't think we have any lawyer in Iran who can make this major angry just like me."

Charlie agreed with him completely. His lawyer five years ago couldn't even make Mr. Rasoli angry once! He was extremely happy that someone like Mr. Godarzi was his lawyer. Officer Nader whispered: "So...handcuffs or not?"
