"Stupid Daevas! They don't know they shouldn't laugh like that in wartime. What are they laughing about?"

"It doesn't matter, Merila. We should pick up their nail thrower and go back to the queen. The gate could close at any moment."

The two Peris walked in front of Charlie's view in the mirror. Charlie clearly saw them just like a few minutes ago he saw three Daevas in the mirror. All of these two Peris' clothes were cyan. Their clothes included trousers, a long shirt that reached to their knees with beautiful gold edging and a scarf on their heads. It seemed they were afraid if anyone see their beautiful hairs they would be stunned! Because something like that should not happen, they put a head scarf. On their shirts a sign was painted and Charlie couldn't see it well. But with all this extraordinary beauty he felt an ineffable sense of ease. He was no longer afraid. His heart didn't beat like war drum. He was calm and quiet and look at the two Peris in the mirror. Those two Peris took their nail thrower to the Daevas' bodies. When they arrived there they put their nail thrower next to their transformed bodies.

One of them laugh sardonically at the three Daevas and said: "Idiots. What are you looking for here?" And with her satiny eyes she stared into the supermarket.

Another Peri took her hand and said: "It's time to go, Merila, let's go."

The Peri called Merila followed the other Peri wordlessly and they went out into the street. Charlie still was able to see them and feel calm but he still couldn't move. It seemed he just wasn't able to believe what he had seen.

Charlie very soon realized he couldn't see the Peris in the mirror any more. With this realization he found himself. He looked again to the killed Daevas. Fear came to him again but at a lesser degree this time. He moved himself. He didn't want to hide in the supermarket anymore. He walked toward the exit door. With fear, he stepped over the three Daevas and went to the other side of the street. Knowing that the Peris were on this side, he feel that the other side might be safer. At least if any Daevas were there then the two Peris might kill them, too. But he didn't see any Peris in the street. In fact he didn't see anyone but frozen people in the street. He looked back with skepticism. Just like in front of him, he didn't see anything. Charlie decided to move to the right side of street. He moved with steps that were faster every moment. A voice of one of the Peris was still in his ear.

"We have just two minutes. The gate could be closed any moment." What did this mean? Had they come from another land through a gateway to the human land? What about the Daevas?

But when the Daeva name came to his mind a Daevas voice came from behind, shouting: "There is one there...take him!"

Charlie frantically looked back. Two Daevas were behind him, about fifty meters down the road. One of them pointed to Charlie and the other one targeted him with his nail thrower.

A nail flew to the left side of Charlie. It missed widely and hit a wall. But it was a warning for Charlie that the Daevas were trying to kill him or maybe they thought he was a Peri. Charlie was still shocked by first nail shot when he heard the second. The next nail came closer. He looked back and stared at the Daevas, confused. Now the Daevas ran with incredible speed toward him. There wasn't any time to react. No matter what the Daevas' bodies looked like, now they ran quickly toward Charlie like athletes.
