But he couldn't forget one thing. Christopher! If he hadn't broken up their lunch and gotten Charlie on that empty and unknown street, none of these events would have happened for him. Charlie wouldn't have seen any of t nightmarish events and Debra would still be answering his phone calls. The hatred of the Christopher was really deep in his heart, he who never had hatred for anyone! Charlie promised to himself never to say his name again and never to talk or think about him again! And if someday he were to meet this stupid boy, he would run away and not go anywhere with him! The running away was better than wasting time with him! But now he didn't like to think about Christopher or anything else...he wanted to get back to normal life. So he got up from the bed. But before he went out from his room he picked up his cell phone and called Debra's number one more time. But he heard the same message: "The number you have dialed cannot be reached. Please try again later."

Hopefully he said to himself: "She will turn it on before long."

He smiled. It was artificial, but he was trying to see things positively. For a moment he tried to call Debra's home but when he started to dial he gave up the idea. It was not difficult for Charlie to remember Debra's dad asked him to never call their home and if he had any problems to only call Debra's cell phone! Just like the other members of Debra's family, Mr. Kamali didn't like Charlie so much! It was a reality. Even though Charlie had never been in their home. Just the opposite of Debra, because whenever she liked she could be in Charlie's home!

Charlie threw his cell phone on the bed. He picked up his towel from the closet and decided to take a hot shower. He turned the lock on the door and opened it. When he opened the door he saw his mother was sitting on a sofa, looking bored and worried and trying to watch television. But when the door opened her eyes turned to Charlie. A smile came to her lips and with an accusatory tone she said: "So finally you come out from this room!"

Charlie smiled. For moment he felt guilty. He didn't like to keep secrets from his mother. But these days he talked about his important things and decisions with Debra before saying anything to his mother! Charlie with regret in his voice said: "I'm sorry, Mom. Yesterday was a terrible day for me."

Sarah grinned wisely and said: "I know, my dear. Debra's mom called me yesterday afternoon before you got home and she told me her daughter is very angry."

Charlie with a pause said: "Did she...she told..."

Sarah knew what he was going to say so she said: "I know, baby! Christopher broke up your date. Debra told her mother everything when she arrived home. Well, it's normal. Because when something bad happens to a girl, she likes to talk with someone about it. But boys are completely the opposite! They like to be alone for a while and be introverted."

Charlie knew his mother was not going to blame him for being in his room since yesterday and not speaking a word. It made him feel better. He went toward his mother and sat beside her. Trying not to look into her eyes, he said: "He is more powerful than me. In prison no one dared to fight with him. I would like to not have any relationship with him, but he finds me everywhere. If he hadn't been in the restaurant yesterday, now Debra..."

Sarah finished his sentence: "Now you and Debra wouldn't be upset. Is that right?"

Although Charlie wanted to say no, wanted to tell her about Daevas and Peris, wanted to know he wasn't crazy, he just nodded his head and said: "Yes."

Sarah took Charlie's hand between her hands and said: "My son! Christopher is not your biggest problem."

Suddenly Charlie lost his temper and shouted: "But that bitch made me look like a fool in front of Debra! He told off Debra and after that..."

He stopped. He couldn't speak about the Daevas and Peris. He should forget about them. Quickly he realized that he had done something wrong. He had shouted at his mother. He didn't mean to, but that didn't explain his mistake. He hung his head and said: "I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't want to shout."

His mother who tried to not show the hurt in her voice said: "I know, baby... I know."

But Charlie continued quickly: "Excuse me, Mom. I don't want to talk any more about that guy. It makes me angry."
