Louis gets on stage, and he breathes in the vapour that is filling the stage. He feels at home. He hasn't felt like this in a while. He can actually feel his body and the bass and music going through his veins. His heartbeat goes faster, and he can feel the energy running through him. Harry notices that Louis stopped halfway on the stage and gets worried. What if something is wrong with him? What if he is having an anxiety attack? But when he takes a few steps towards the boy, he can see that Louis is smiling. He can breathe. Louis is fine. He might be better than fine by the looks of it. Louis closes his eyes and feels the music again.
This is what life feels like when you let it be felt, he thinks.
They start singing as the music gets louder, and so does the audience. The thousands of fans that are filling the arena make Louis smile even more. He can connect with them now. The screams and clapping filled the air. He laughs a little bit before he starts singing, not as anxious as he was last time he was on stage. Something had changed. While he is filled with anxiety about singing wrong, he also knows that even if he sings wrong, he is still loved by at least a few fans.
They sing a few songs, and everything is going as planned. They are walking the stage and interacting with the fans, making jokes, teasing each other and most of all, having fun.
It comes to the point where Louis is running around on stage, pouring water on Liam. He feels carefree, but that ends fast, the new song comes on, and he panics. He struggled with this so much just a few days ago. What if he still hasn't gotten it as he should?
He pauses, mid-stage, staring at Harry. Willing him to look at him. But he doesn't, he is dancing around with a flower crown on, waving and having fun, while Louis just stands there, staring at his back. He has no idea what to do; he can feel bile rising in his throat, an anxiety attack forcing its way onto him. He can't do this.
Harry looks back, waiting for the part where Louis and he walk down the stage together, singing their part, when he sees that the boy is frozen, standing still. He knows he shouldn't show his feelings for the boy mid stage, their management would be pissed if they did, they're suposed to be "bro's" and tease each other, not show their weaknesses. Harry couldn't care less, though. Louis is feeling bad and is panicking. He needs to help as much as he can.
He rushes over to him, taking out his earpiece at the same time Louis does, and Louis mumbles a few incoherent words; the music is way too loud for them to hear each other well. Harry cups his hands around the boy's ear, saying that he will be fine, and that he will be fine singing his part of this song.
Louis nods, trying to focus on breathing and make sure that the fans are kept obvious to his anxiety. Smiling big when Harry dances on, reading a sign that says "Harry and Louis, will you adopt me?" replying shyly, "I don't think that's legal." Which makes the rest of the boys laugh with him, taking the attention off Louis, who is grateful.
They start bantering while the music keeps going, starting with Liam and going on. The song goes smoothly, Harry knowing which parts Louis struggled with, and singing those.
After the song finishes, they all go together and have a big group hug before the boys from 5 Seconds of Summer come on stage to sing a few songs together. The fans scream louder than ever when they hug, almost hurting their ears, even with the in-ears they have.
"We have a little surprise for you! What would you say if we brought some Australians on here?" Liam yells out after the hug. The fans are going even crazier, as they already know who it is, and they are touring together for the next few weeks.
Calum and Luke run out on stage first, the screaming getting louder and louder as Michael and Ashton come out, getting in their spaces with the drums and guitar. Ready to play the song while Zayn and Niall sit down on the bridge that hangs across the stage.
