i lowkey forgot about this oopsie

After walking down the many aisles a few times, Louis had a basket full of toys, and he was so excited. He got a few different dolls, an action figure, the kinetic sand, Legos, a robot he could build, and a Barbie car that had batteries!

Harry also chose out a few toys he thought the boy would like, such as stacking blocks, a small guitar that made funny sounds, a Bluey house with figures, and a few bottles and teething toys.

Louis couldn't stop babbling about the dolls he got; he was so happy to finally have toys he wanted. He was a very big boy when Harry told him he had to put all the toys on the counter for checkout. Even though he really wanted to carry his Rapunzel doll, he gave it to the cashier.
While the cashier was scanning the toys, he was staring a bit at the boy, almost as if he recognised him. It made Harry a bit scared; if a fan saw them buying toys, he would never hear the end of it. They would probably bully the little one or make it a big deal.

As the cashier scanned the last toy, it looked like a light bulb went off in his head, and he stared at the boy for a few too many seconds. It made Harry clear his throat and make a "shush" gesture with his hands. Which seemed to make the cashier understand; he nodded and smiled at the boy, giving him a little sticker and saying, "This is for being so brave!"

The little sticker made Louis' day, someone was actually not mean to him! While the little boy didn't see Harry make the gesture, he subconsciously knew that Harry must've done something for him to get a sticker.

As they walked out of the big store, Louis reached his hand towards the older man, really wanting to hold on to something. While he felt happy he could be his little self and get toys, it was a very eventful day, and he needed a nap soon. He was so tired, though he would never admit it. He wants to stay up and play with all of his new toys! But maybe a small nap wouldn't hurt, he thinks.

His little hand, the one not holding on to Harry's, rubs his eyes tiredly, which gives a cue to the man. He is tired. And if he needs to be able to perform and have energy for the show tonight, he needs a nap.

Harry is unsure how to get the little one to take a nap, usually Louis wouldn't sleep much, and he never really napped when he was in his adult headspace, but maybe it is different in his little headspace.

He looks over at the boy, feeling so happy that he gets to take care of him, that he can help him, that he can be there for him. Especially when Louis needs it. He has been struggling so much, he hasn't been able to be himself almost all the time that they were a band. Since their debut, he's been drinking before shows. It started by just being a pre-show-ritual for everyone. A little drink, a shot, a beer. Something to keep them going on stage.

But for Louis, it escalated. When they went partying with other singers or bands, he found those who took drugs. And he started fitting in with that crowd. He started snorting, taking pills, all kinds of things.
The drugs made him seem further and further away from reality. He would do the shows, pretend to be having fun, pretend to know what's going on. But in reality, he was stoned out of his mind. Never knowing fully what he was doing.

But now, he has Harry. He has someone who can take care of him, someone who treasures him. Harry would do anything; he wants to see that silly, loud, outgoing, happy boy he was when they met. Before the band took a hold of them and made them into a thing to sell. Before the pressure made him drink and take drugs.

Harry can already sometimes see those little things, the silly and happy boy he was, when he is regressed. When he is in his headspace. Even though he isn't as comfortable in his headspace, because it is so new, Harry can already see a positive change in him.
