Kyoto.
- "You know, when I said 'prove your words', I was expecting something else, like a plastic bag," I said with a bored smile. "Do you really think one spear is enough?"
Those were my sincere and disappointing thoughts, because at that moment Cao Cao was jumping like a monkey on vines, dodging and fighting off an endless stream of golden chains. He couldn't even get close to me, because as soon as he did, he was immediately surrounded by chains, leaving him with no choice but to retreat.
However, I give him credit. The True Longinus gave him the ability to deflect attacks, which was extremely difficult for most creatures in principle. But during the time we were "fighting" each other, I managed to find out why the spear could still hurt me.
My assumptions were correct, because the Biblical God had indeed allowed this to happen, apparently so as not to give any signs of his return. After all, the True Longinus was directly connected to Him. Although, I think He wanted me to return the spear to Heaven, but that's not accurate.
- "Hey, are you listening?" I began with utter disappointment. "Maybe you need some backup? You know, HUMAN backup? I feel genuinely sorry watching your dubious attempts, and I want to help."
- "Say what you will. Your words will not shake my faith," Cao Cao said calmly, but with a clear note of hidden aggression and growing anger. "Balance Breaker: Chakravartin of the Polar Night."
The spear glowed white, and in the next moment, seven spheres flew out of it, surrounding Cao Cao's figure. They seemed to be fixed in the air, hovering behind him, and I began to watch them with interest.
- "Oh? Balance Breaker?" I smirked. "You know, it's not a good idea for a plastic bag to be near glowing or sharp objects. Usually, after that, the bag gets thrown in the trash because it loses its function and becomes USELESS."
- "Assaratana," Cao Cao said confidently, jumping back and bringing his spear closer to himself while the chains were still attacking him from my position, and in the next moment, I felt like I was about to be teleported.
Deciding that why not, I let it happen, and my body found itself practically pressed against Cao Cao, who, without wasting a second, turned and aimed his spear at my throat.
Using "Fortify" on my body, which made Cao Cao's movements extremely slow, I tilted my head to the side and smiled mockingly.
- "Did you really think that would work?" I asked, looking at Cao Cao's surprised and then annoyed expression. "You are so WEAK."
- "I'm not done yet," he gritted his teeth and teleported to the side, and the chains began to chase him again. "Maniratana."
The chains flying at him immediately changed course and rushed at me, but were safely blocked by a magic circle that appeared in front of me. Cao Cao didn't stop there and finally moved into close combat while I just stood there and completely removed the chains.
Each of his attacks was parried with a soft and smooth movement of my hand, as it appeared from the outside. But he continued to do this again and again, counting on my mistake and slowly losing hope, which was evident in his eyes.
- "I'd say you never even started. Under these circumstances, with me just standing here and you unable to even hit me, I doubt anything will change in the next couple hundred years. Are you really a hero?"
- "Hatthiratana," Cao Cao said, now almost unable to hide his anger.
Now there were six warrior-like creatures around me, armed with swords and spears. They joined Cao Cao, also trying to hurt me, but to no avail.
