I stood in front of the door hesitant. Im in deep shit.

My momma is gonna kill me im out way past my curfew I was supposed to be home...

I looked at my watch.

3 hours ago.

Okay just breathe maybe shes sleep. And it cant be that bad since daddy is out with his friends.

I couldn't go through my window because Britney locked it. Im gonna whoop her ass if I live to see tomorrow.

I slowly turned the handle and slowly pushed the door open hoping momma was sleep.

It was dark. Okay thats a good sign. I opened it further and walked in slowly shutting and locking the door. Okay so far so good.

I started walking but stopped dead in my tracks when I heard her voice. It was like I immediately froze. Literally with the chills that ran through me.

"And where have you been little girl?"

Goddamnit.

I turned around and she turned on the light looking at me.

I looked at her with her robe on with the bottom of her gown peaking through the bottom, hair wrapped, and worry clear in her eyes.

"I have been up all night waiting for you."

"Hey mommy" I nervously said.

"Don't you hey mommy me, where the hell you been?"

"I...I was."

She stood up "Spit it out or imma knock it out of you." Her words made me flinch.

"...I was with Tyree...and Myeisha."

"Have you lost your damn mind? I told you to stop hanging around that crackheaded ass little girl didn't I?"

"Momma!"

"No! She got you worried about the wrong things ya daddy says you close to being kicked off the damn cheerleading team because you missing practice."

"Mommy that has nothing to do with Myeisha-"

"I don't wanna hear it." She roughly grabbed my face "she got you hooked on that shit?" She asked turned my face side to side.

I moved her hands off of me and backed up "No im not an idiot."

"Really? Because surrounding yourself around girls like Myeisha seems stupid enough to me!"

"Momma shes my best friend."

She closed her eyes and sighed to calm her anger "I don't care who she is, I don't want her leading you down the wrong path."
